i'm looking for good ideas on where to mount a Hi-Lift on a stock JK. i plan on buying a rear bumper in the future which will most likely have a spot for a jack, but in the mean time i have to find a good spot to mount one. if anyone has pics that happen to show a Hi-Lift mounted in a good location i would like to see them.

Be weary on mounting it like that, I've seen one get caught on a tree since it's the highest part of the Jeep.

Ouch......

different, but still cool

Those actually look homemade? I personally wouldn't put one up there (to each his own) but I don't like the looks of those brackets.

I think the brackets look a lot better than that nasty high-lift sitting up there on that beautiful hood. He could have at least painted the high-lift to patch :)

The brackets are actually a cool idea. I'd be interesting in using the idea for something else, but not the high-lift. Smack into something at 60mph and I bet that thing is definitely could to give someone a bad day.

Saw the hood mounts on 4 Wheel Parts catalog. I like the idea for several reasons. First, no need to drill new holes. Drilling holes in a vehicle just bothers me. Secondly, It doesn't look bad at all to me. A little green paint on the jack would probably look better, I agree, but hey. It's a contrast thing. If he likes it that color, then great. It reminds me of Christmas. That reminds me. I hope Santa brings me a new front bumper with a winch this year.
