I have been wanting to start a build thread on here for a while now. I am starting my thread somewhat late into my build but I'll catch everyone up. Alright so here it goes. This is my second car. I had a 2005 Chevy Avalanche 2WD that was a graduation present from my parents for graduating at 16. I wanted a 4x4 so I talked to my parents and for too many reasons to mention they let me sale it without them holding it against me that I had only had the avalanche for 9 months before selling it. I found someone to pay good money for it and bought this 2001 Cherokee Sport. Luckily for me the Cherokee I ended up getting, already had a 3" BDS Suspension lift kit, a roof rack, a pair of Hellas and Rubicon/Moab 16 rims, other than that fully stock

The third day I had her.

How she sits now:

oh. Yeah I did 60mph all the way down with minimal vibes. Brakes were still airy. My transfer case is still screaming at me but other then that it was fine going down. Coming back was a little different. Had a lot of front wheel wobble at lower speed but again did around 50-60mph all the way home. Was a lot to due with that 38" unbalanced spare.

I ran the mtr's on 15 psi, and one time it jacked up the side wall bad. Made it super lumpy and now the tire is only good for off road. Idk, maybe if did something wrong like ran it low on the wrong rims, but I never lost the bead. Idk, I was surprised it did that.

So been a little but since an update. Finally pulled the shaft out of the front. Sheered it right off. Will probably just throw another stock shaft in but have been looking at chromos so we'll see what money allows and when. Still need to fix the brakes. Going to do a 3500 master cylinder swap and that should get my pedal a little harder. Also since my brother has to drive it while he's back in town I picked up some 17s. Still waiting on the forth.. Oh yeah and they came with 40s lol I'll probably throw them on for a photo or 2 but then will be breaking them down to put my old 35" ATs on so it will be a little better on the road. Other then that probably not going to do too much to the Jeep for a little while. Need to recoup a little plus gonna get some work done to the truck.

Did the Dodge 3500 Master Cylinder swap today. Didn't take long at all. Other then making a longer push rod and bending some lines bolted right up. I do think I made my new push rod a little short. bought a 1/4x28 2" bolt, cut the head off and rounded it down. Will probably make another a little bit longer. The pedal is hard but is lower then It should be. I think a longer push rod will bring it up a little. I'll also probably make some new lines to the proportioning valve to make it look a little better. The reservoir fits but is really tight. Will see if I can use my old reservoir that is angled for the hood for a better fitment. So far so good. She stops a lot better now so I'm happy.

So got the new master cylinder worked out.. Works great! Still need to try to figure out a bigger booster now. Might try a ZJ booster with front and rear discs. I've read where they push a little more booster for the rear discs. Bought another set of tires. Set of 35" Toyos I'm going to put on the H2s for a little while. Going to sell the 37s for now. They are just too heavy for my set up. I'll wheel the 35s for a little while till I can afford a set of lighter 37s. Plus that way I should be able to beat on it like a use to without worry. Through the H2s and 40s on yesterday for a local Jeep Cruise in. I love the way they look lol might have to eventually big it to handle them haha the rear end is a little too narrow for them but whatever. Going to have the 35s put on this week. Need to start saving a little more for a trailer and cage later on. So will probably be holding off on the Jeep for a little while but never know lol may come across a sweet deal. We'll see.

Brother, that just looks so sick!:) strait desk top wall paper.

I think I read a few places that the 98 xj has one of the best break boosters and a lot of people with some sick rigs run the xj booster with the dodge mc. I think you just need to change the proportioner and you will be good. I know you have the 01, but I would think they have to be pretty close if not the same.

Yea... That's a really good point. That's really a smart call. Damn ... Lol .. Your logic is killing my plans lol. Are your 16.5 trail worthy fabs?
Im pretty sure it's their parts but I think someone did them theirselves. Selling them next weekend though. Just gonna run the h2s and 35s for a little while.. Really need to lay off the Jeep for a while lol

Ok so its been a little while. Sold my old 37s and put a set of 35" Toyos on it. Also got another set of shafts they need new u joints and also picked up a set of warn hubs. Haven't had time to install any of it yet. Big thing right now is I am pretty sure my 0331 head has finally given up on me. My bro was driving it the other day and the gauge shot to the red and smoke started billowing from the hood vents. Was able to get it home but Im sure its done. Just going to park it for a while now I guess. I don't want to go through the effort to replace the head with junk yard head which is all I can afford right now. I want to go with a 505 Performance stage 1 head and maybe their stage 1 or 2 cam for it too. We'll see what happens. But will keep everyone on here informed.

Just a few things to add.. non related to my Jeep. Finally got my old axles on my Dad's Jeep. Clearances up front are tight but they work. Got the rear shaft for it yesterday but not waiting on rear uppers and we'll see how she does. Also Got some new tires on my Mom's Jeep. 35x12.5 Trail Grapplers. She doesn't have a lift right now but she needed tires so we decided to go big and lift it later. They fit for road driving just have to take your time pulling into parking lots and going over speed bumps and still its only rubbing the inner plastic.

So got the head out today. I still can't see any signs of a cracked head or a bad gasket, but I'm going to replace it anyway now that I have it off. Will be a little while before I'll get back together though. So for now I guess my Jeep will be sitting headless for a little while.
