A while back I was wandering through Tractor Supply and came across a fancy hitch pin.
The pin is 1/2" big but has a coating of plastic that once stripped would prolly result in 7/16" diameter. The only complication i can see is that the shaft needs to be shortened and a new hole needs to be drilled for the pin. If i recall correctly i think the pins were only around $8 each.
I've already ordered my JKS discos so i havent had a chance to give it a try, but if anyone does, let me know.
awesome, well i think i might be on the road to being able to figure some of this stuff out...... now all i need to do it learn how to work on my own stuff, that is prolly 5-10 years down the road though, thanks alot
Good point, and a greater concern for me would be how to actually drill the hole. Those pins are harder than woodpecker's teeth. When in use, they are continually subjected to abuse that is hard to imagine, so they need to be tough.................chim
The discos are what they are talking about using those pins to replace. I will allow you to pull a pin basically and disconnect your sway bar for more articulation.
you don't NEED them...unless you plan on doing some serious articulating w/o a large lift
<---like that
