Possibly a cheaper and more reliable quick disconnect.

A while back I was wandering through Tractor Supply and came across a fancy hitch pin.

The pin is 1/2" big but has a coating of plastic that once stripped would prolly result in 7/16" diameter. The only complication i can see is that the shaft needs to be shortened and a new hole needs to be drilled for the pin. If i recall correctly i think the pins were only around $8 each.

I've already ordered my JKS discos so i havent had a chance to give it a try, but if anyone does, let me know.

that sounds like a pretty good idea, any pictures of em?
No, i noticed them after i already got my JKS disconnects so i didnt bother with em. But i'd assume they'd work.

Awfuly hard to drill a good hole on cylindrical object as small as that thou, at least for the average home mechanic type.

Good point, and a greater concern for me would be how to actually drill the hole. Those pins are harder than woodpecker's teeth. When in use, they are continually subjected to abuse that is hard to imagine, so they need to be tough.................chim

The discos are what they are talking about using those pins to replace. I will allow you to pull a pin basically and disconnect your sway bar for more articulation.
