OK, I stole the idea from the YJ forum but it's a great idea so let this thread be an inspiration for all of us doing mods, maintenance, or repairs to our TJ's! :D

Personally, I installed my trusty Uniden CB into my new Rubicon.

Hehe... I'm running the same thing here for a while now, and probably a while longer :(

Some pics look good... others just plain goofy
I don't think it looks as bad as you guys think. Hey at least you have a lift. I am still stock. Looking forward to getting it in the air. Like you, I will still run the same tires but am only going with the 30" KOs that I have until the tread is gone.

They are inexpensive and the sound quality blows any Sony XPLODEcrap out the window.
I had a top-end Xplode that I would take the pepsi challenge on anyday. That thing was outstanding. There were better Pioneers out there than that Sony, but few and far between.

But...as an overall statement, Pioneer is a generally better product than the Xplode series.

BTW, just to show I am not bias, I am running a Pioneer unit in my Jeep.

whats with a lot off ppl with jeeps having that pioneer cd player?? whats so special about it?
I confess that the main reason I went with this unit is the 1.5 DIN size. It is a really nice fit and the install was a breeze. I like Pioneer but Alpine headunits are my personal favorite. That said, it sounds great, I've had zero problems, and it matches up nicely with my Infinity speakers and Kenwood sub. I'm completely satisified and it's such an improvement over the factory setup that I can't even begin to describe the difference.

Nice! I've had some thoughts about going with narrow tires like that. How do they ride on the road?
at first i was concerned. i stareted at 25 psi and dropped it in 2lbs increments. finally this mourning at 16lbs it would drive great on the highway at 80. even at 25 and less it was ok to 45 but would jump and shake at higher speeds. i love the tires, the roor a little, but are very livable.
