OK, I stole the idea from the YJ forum but it's a great idea so let this thread be an inspiration for all of us doing mods, maintenance, or repairs to our TJ's! :D

Personally, I installed my trusty Uniden CB into my new Rubicon.

Dropped the top and removed the doors.

Disclaimer: No, that's not a cop in the mirror. It's a white Benz. I set the camera at a red light and hit the capture button a lot and picked the best pic out of the bunch when I got home. No, I do not have a foot prop. I cruise like this with my doors off because I'm comfy and have for 3 years and I know it may be dangerous. Ha

Installed Rancho RS9000XL shocks on the front and rear. 1 more step closer to getting rid of the Rough Country lift kit.
How do you like the ride with the new shocks?

new to me tube doors and mirrors, not true half doors but got a deal :)

seller did not know the brand, so does anyone have advice on how to adjust or mod them to keep them from excessively rattling?
Those are Olympic Safari doors. I have a set. I have not run them yet, but will tomorrow.

As for rattling, off the top of my head:

There are three mounting points- 2 hinges and the lock/door pin.

If it is the pins in the hinges, perhaps a nylon washer or nylock nuts on the threads below the hinges?

If it is the lock/door pin (likely), perhaps a couple winds of electrical tape on the door pin?

I will report back tomorrow...

Thanks for the ID:highfive:, found an install manual, it does say tubing/electrical tape wrapping. also there might be some adjustments on the latch as well.
the issue is the bottom bar pops up from the hinge. other models have a brace between the bars near the hinges

Get some nylock castle nuts from the hardware store.

Bolting the bars to the hinges should fix the movement of the bars...

EDIT:

As for a brace between the bars, a piece of PVC pipe cut to length and notched would do the trick (being painted of course.)

Bottom hinge doesn't have a threaded section if I remember correctly
I was thinking electrical conduit but either could work. Great minds lol
thinking of adding paracord or other rope padding too

Got booted from being a like'r of Savvy's facebook for disagreeing with their choice of a '15 Chevy as their new tow rig and explaining why either Ford or Ram would have been the better choice.

Hilariously, Gerald stated that the Ram was lacking in "creature comforts"

LOL. Go sit in a Ram Laramie Limited.

Possibly more hilariously, I asked him repeatedly if it was a ¾ton or a 1ton...no answer....I'm not sure he even knows...and how hilarious if this guy is pulling his race trailer with a ½ton pickup :idk:

Front foot wells were good and rusted

Hit it with the grinder (unfortunately no picture of after grinding). The rolled on some Bed Armour

Wasn't sure if it would mess with the fitment of the centre console, so I just used some black automotive spray paint
One of my many projects I must do this summer. Looks good!!!:cheers2:

Mainly due to quite a few e-trolls last year or year before starting a bunch of safety sh.. every time they saw a pic like that. Unfortunately, I can't remember who they were so I'm not sure of they are even still active here.

Pulled my rocker guards off so I can strip them and repaint them when, lo and behold, I find this abomination hiding behind my driver's side rocker guard...

I knew I was in for some pain because I was able to pull the bolts off without any drama despite not spraying them with PB Blaster and them going through ten Illinois winters.

Apparently I slammed that rocker guard down hard enough to tweak the body in that area and around the body mount below the driver's seat. :dunno: I would have thought I'd remember something violent enough to do that... Anyways, I've got some work ahead of me now. Luckily it doesn't have to look pretty or perfect since it's going to be behind the rocker guard once I reinstall them.
