My wife and I bought this jeep 4 years ago with 70k on the clock, it now has 131k. Last night we bought her a new vehicle so i ended up with the jeep as a trail rig. New to the site and grand cherokees as far as on the trail go, but not new to wheeling, previous rigs include xj's, and a 84 bbc k10 shortbed.
My shop is a local rough country dealer, so even tho i have noticed alot of people on here dont like rough country, it is what this jeep will receive alot of.
Plans include:
4 inch rough lift
Front and rear bumpers
spartan lockers
Slip yoke eliminator
Rock sliders
and im sure alot more
heres a few pics, lift kit is on order and should see it on next weekend.
Nice Laredo. I just bought an '03 limited last week. Already had a rough country lift on it. Looks exactly at the same height as yours. I was wondering what the height is on it? I've been asked a few times by people and all I can tell them is the make of the lift lol.
Cool. Appreciate it. That's what I must have. My Tacoma that I traded for it I had put a 4.5" sus on it and it rode WAY higher than my Jeep now. That's why I wasn't sure if it was 4" or not. Must be. New to the whole Jeep thing haha
What size tires you running? I got 255/75r17 BFG mts right now. They're gonna need changed here pretty soon. You think I could fit 285/70r17s without trimming? You seem to know your jeeps is why I'm asking.
well guys i buddy wanted to buy the tires on the jeep so i sold them, then stepped up to a 2857516 and went with the mud claw because at work i got them at cost which was 98.00 bucks a tire.
Also played around with some offroad lights i had laying around the shop. would like opinions on these.
Also got both the passenger side fenders trimmed, forgot to take pictures of that. Plan is to trim driver side the next few days.
getting ready to go out for the first time in this jeep. Going to go test her out and see what else needs done. Ill do my best to bring back some pictures, but you all know how hard that is to do when your having a good time.
Nice. Let me know how those 285s do with the lift. I'd really like to run them if I can.
