When you get random phones calls that go like this "hey where are you? I am in town why? My car stalled and I can't get it to start help!" Then they go on to say it's because I have tools and am always doing something to my Jeep!
Or when it's 18 degrease and your jeep won't start.. The SKIM icon is flashing and not allowing the starter to engage. So I get the spare out of the safe. And it starts but the SKIM flashes and then died. So I put the first key in and turn and it starts. But now no gauges.. The "check gauges alarm" goes off and then the gauges work except the oil pressure. So I get my obdII reader.. Plug it in.. Do all the steps and get to the live screen.. Scroll to oil pressure and it (can't make this up) OIL prs: YES. Then the gauge started working..
When it hates the snow. Last year when it started to snow The trans went. Got another one and put it in. Go out to wheel it in the snow and the engine blows. Fixed that and no more snow last year. I got to take it out yesterday in the 12 inches we got and no 4wd. The CAD vacuum motor was full of gear oil. After cleaning it I got it working but now the 4wd light doesnt work. I go to lock it over but suddenly cant find anticanmans write up on it. Once I got the 4wd working though you couldnt even tell there was snow on the ground she went through it like it was dry pavement. However when I took it out the first time when the 4wd was frozen it sucked. In 2wd it was all over the highway. Nothing like recovering from fishtailing at 55 mph in a short wheelbase Jeep
it was full of whining. it always seems that anytime someone who spends $40k on a brand new GC they can't stand hearing that anyone isn't as excited as they are that they bought it.
Driving around in high 20's and low 30 degree weather freezing my @$$ off. Go to change the thermostat to discover the PO didn't put one in it. Now I Im a bit warmer riding around with the 195deg thermostat installed. But the cooling system is pressuring now like it should so I'm seeing all the little pin holes surfacing in my radiator.
So.. fix one thing .. discover more needing fixed. My little red YJ money pit
when its 15 degrees outside and snowing, you have to scrape the ice off the inside of your windshield
