This thread is to serve as an inspiration to others modifying their ZJ's. Pretty simple, just post what you did to your ZJ today!

Today I shamefully took my Jeep to get the oil changed because it was to hot to change it myself.

It's not mint, it's still a 15 year old Jeep but it's a nice ZJ. Clean enough to enjoy driving on the street but not so clean that you dont want to wheel it. Right in the middle which to me is right where it should be.
That's a good looking rig.

I feel the same about mine. Got some dings and scratches so it doesn't bother me when more happen but the paint still shines up and looks pretty good with a fresh coat of wax

I can get this one for around $3200-3900, they have already had it listed on eBay twice for $4900 and didn't get it. As a dealer they have it listed at auction for $3990 but auction prices are like $2000, $3500 is already way more then I should pay as a dealer.

That's as clean as my Orvis. But my Orvis cost me $6k. So that's a better deal.

Well, this Orvis was the EXACT Jeep I wanted though, so it's tough to put a price on that. $6k is what I'm willing to pay.

I want one of those cupholder inserts. But I have to save all my money to finsih paying for this Orvis. Sadface.

why do people want the 5.9 zj's ? The Chrysler 5.9 made at that time was junk. Idk how many we sent to the boneyard do to cracked heads. The 5.2 is a better motor but has the same issue.
They have the exact same heads, the 5.2 is not any better. It's not junk, it's not very expensive to get heads that are beefed up so that they don't crack as easily. They are also considered higher flowing heads so it's a win win situation. The 4.0 doesn't have this issue in these years but that doesn't mean the 5.2/5.9 is a bad choice.

In 99 the 4.0l had fairly high failure rate, 4.7 is even worse.

Yes the 4.7 is a terrible engine the later 90 and early 00 4.0s had terrible head gasket problem we have sent 3 5.9 grands to the boneyard do to cracked heads people don't want to pay to fix them and don't want to pay to put a new motor In there seems to be so many people that are crazy about the 5.9s but I don't understand I've driven plenty of them and the all time 4wd no thanks. Oh and cant forget bad trasmissions. But thats not just the 5.9 thats pretty much every automatic trans in the grand cherokee from 94 on atleast the 93s had the aw4 the same trans used in the cherokee and that god awful slush box 42re. The plus side of it tho is it does have a nice hood and grille.don't get me wrong tho its a nice jeep and they are rare but after seeing the problems alot of em have it not my cup of tea but jeep does stand for just empty every pocket

EVERY V8 ZJ has full time 4wd, thats why you do a 242 swap. As stated above the 5.9 and 5.2 have the exact same heads on them. The 5.9 is a rare model, was and still is a special model, and with out it the SRT of today would never have been made. Thats why people who know what they are and what they stand for love them so much. Keep sending them to the crushers, all your doing is making the ones still on the road, worth more!

put 31s on my jeep finally, always wanted to stuff them under without a lift, and found rims that were on my wrangler that have the right offset, needed some metal seams/pinchweld pounded over and the back fenders pounded over, plastic in the front trimmed a lot.
