This thread is to serve as an inspiration to others modifying their ZJ's. Pretty simple, just post what you did to your ZJ today!

Today I shamefully took my Jeep to get the oil changed because it was to hot to change it myself.

Today i installed the front driveshaft and adjusted the shift linkage on my 97 ZJ after doing the 242 swap, put a few plastic interior panels back on, vacuumed it, and put it at the curb with a for sale sign on it.

Psh, get some electric ratchets and the job gets down to 2 hours! haha

But ya it would suck to not have a heated garage and 2-3x more money in tools then I have into my Jeep..... seriously 3/8", 1/4" electric ratchet, and a screw gun kit (included 2 batteries) from Matco was almost $700. I have at least $7000 in tools, glad I only owe about $500 on them haha
It's somewhat therapeutic to sit in the garage, listen to music, and turn bolts by hand.

It's not mint, it's still a 15 year old Jeep but it's a nice ZJ. Clean enough to enjoy driving on the street but not so clean that you dont want to wheel it. Right in the middle which to me is right where it should be.

Was told about a "1998 Grand Cherokee with a 360 in it" today.

He said "It's got rusty rockers and it doesn't shift right unless you turn off the overdrive. The interior is trashed cuz the people that owned it last were disgusting PIGS, and I don't have the title for it. I want it outta my damn yard ASAP. $300 takes it. If you can sell it for more, you can keep the extra, all I care about is the $300 and an empty parking spot in my driveway."
I'm going to look at it tomorrow after work... in the dark...:(
I'm thinking "How the hell can I scoop up $300??...... PARTS RIG!!!!!!"

The 5.9 grill and hood louvers are worth $250-$300 alone if they are in clean condition. Id be all over that thing.

That was my FIRST thought....
He said the hood doesn't have louvers... I'm thinking either a crash victim, or a remotely possible 5.9L transplant....
Gotta check it out tomorrow and see, I suppose....

Anyone know the VIN engine code for the 5.9L??
