I finally decided to collect all my pictures and attempt to do my build ive had it for about 5 and a half years since I was a freshman in highschool.
here she is before I did anything to it.

sorry I don't have any pictures with the i6 in but I drove it around till last December and the oil pump went out and seized up the motor when I let my brother drive it so I got another jeep

during the wranglers down time I made a bumper for my grand Cherokee that ended up paying for the next project for the wrangler

new motors in, got the front end put back together and working on the back axle swap doing soa with a 12 bolt

I'm using an NP205 on mine, gear to gear internals, and much shorter than the 208. Also it doesn't require an SYE, it's already set up for a double cardan driveshaft.

Otherwise, yours looks like a nice build so far. I'm sure you're as anxious as I am to get it back on the road, or the trail... :cheers2:

Not sure yet, I'm still working on suspension stuff. I expect I will do a custom mount and skidplate though. What I'm thinking of is building a bar across for the crossmember, and attaching to the frame with a couple of bushed sleeves, similar to control arm bushings... if that's understandable at all... I'll whack a flat skidplate up as tight to the frame as I can get it. But there are still a lot of variables for me yet.

edit to add: I did not get rid of the old stock plate, just in case.
