Finally ordered my new head unit! I chose the Kenwood DNX590 plus the wiring harnesses to make it work properly with the Jeep. I can't wait for Tuesday, my iphone will soon be communicating with the Jeep, as Steve Jobs intended! Pics to follow.

On an unrelated note, my Firestone Coil Rite air bags have developed a leak and I searched the whole system for the source. Those bags are a *****! If I didn't haul my 7K pound trailer, I'd scrap them. Luckily, the leak is slow enough that I can get from point A to point B before the *** starts dragging.

Weird. I just ordered the Kenwood KDC-X597 with the same adapter/harness. Looks like its a race to install!

Got the Shadow kit from Duplicolor. Applied it to my chrome grill. When I get some more time, I will apply it to my chrome "JEEP" logos and possibly the bezel around my shifter knob and 4Lo T-handle.

I used a dremel on the bumper too, but I only had the metal cutoff wheels handy and they just sprayed plastic (or whatever the bumper is made of) all over the place...and it was scalding hot. Looks alot better with the stock one!

Started a wash/clay bar/wax job on the old girl today... finishing it up tomorrow. Not bothering much with the wheel well liners, they'll just get muddy again!! Thinking of starting a build thread, but it'll prolly end up being the slowest build thread in the history of JeepForum.

Looks nice... as for 4Lo T-handle-- so curious how it ll go... I ve painted everything but that.. Are you gonna remove the T-handle or throw some newspapers and tapes n paint?
Lots of news paper and lots of tape. And laser-guided-spraying (I hope).

Still need to get some newspaper to Shadow® the 4Lo T handle.

What did you get? I've been thinking of getting some too.

As far as things I did to my Jeep...I ran over a tree a little too aggressively and tore the corner off the splash guard....good thing I just ordered an engine skid from steel armadillo!

Also ordered replacement climate controls (my lights were burnt out and the buttons were all worn off) and new speakers (kicker upgrade stuff for front and rear)

traded my 02 WJ LTD 4.7 for a 2008 XK LTD 5.7, all options, 83k miles and LOVE IT!
So far, cleaned it up inside and out, and have been ordering suff to do all the basics, fluids, filters ect.
I will be removing the OEM chrome running boards this weekend. not a fan of them.

Stopped by a jeep dealer to see the new Cherokee.... It looks like a Nissan Muranos ugly little sister. That thing is terrible <insert Charles Barkley voice here>.

The best part was the salesman that came out and suggested i was interested in trading in my WK. I asked if he was serious, then suggested that the Cherokee is just as capable as my WK.

And installed my Aspen Creek boulder grille

Yesterday, not today, but figured I would still post it. I bought two flip keys off of eBay to replace my original ones that are missing buttons.

I took them to Home Depot to have them cut. The first one didn't cut right, so he put it in again and it took too much off. I said, "Well crap!"

He had another machine there, so I asked if he could try the other key in that one. It cut it where it looked to be right, but it didn't turn the door lock or the ignition.

Moral of the story -- I wasted $35, will be reordering keys, and I will not be taking them back to HD to be cut!

I also peeled off some plastidip from a botched job. That crap didn't even want to come off with a power washer 2" from it!

OME MD springs showed up today! Now I have

OME MD Springs

JBA UCAs

Rustys adjustable trac bar,

Rustys .25" strut spacers

Rustys rear shocks (not sure if I'm going to keep them or not but they extend to 29" which is huge)

And I'm reusing my RC spacers in the back for the modified OME lift. I already have OME shocks installed.

I'll also see about installing another set of front .25" spacers up front once all is said and done. I'm doing it all this weekend with a good buddy of mine. I'm so stoked

Got some Bean Led duallys in spot pattern on either side, they, like my bar, are mounted on KC Mounting brackets. They are 8. Degree spots. I also plastidipped my wheels gun metal grey, the pic is when it's still wet it was too dark to get a good pic of them installed. This weekend I install my modified OME Lift, can't wait
