I'm just curious to see what y'all paid for your WJ, I paid $2000 cash with nothing wrong with it and bone stock!

$6500 29 months ago for my 2002 overland with with 136k at the time. Had been serviced by the same Jeep dealership since it had 3 miles on the odo. Executive owned. Not a drop of anything on the undercarriage. Zero rust. Damn near mint. Only major issue was blend doors.

'04 Limited QuadraDrive w/ pretty much all options and sun roof.....dealer was asking almost 6k for it. After the test drive I offered $4500 for it (as long as they fixed the P0700 code) because it needed tires and had a transmission code.

The tranny code ended up being a torque converter which I estimated would have cost me $600 to get replaced minimum and they replaced that for nothing and it needs new tires. (The existing tires are street tires and the fronts are fairly well worn). So they knocked off some for the tires and some for the tranny work and I ended up paying a grand total of $4500 after TTL.

Since the tranny fix, I still haven't gotten my new tires because I can't find what I want for the price I'm willing to pay so that $$$ has been put in an envelope for when prices are where I think they ought to be.

Everything else on my WJ works like a champ thankfully, at least so far....No blend door issues, no Transfer case issues, nothing out of the ordinary. HOnestly, I freaking love my WJ. I just wish tires would come down to where I could afford to put what I want to put on her.

(BTW, after they replaced the torque converter the transmission has worked perfectly. No issues at all.)

02 - 4.7 with hole on the block $1000 - Installed used 4.7 motor and sold to my sister for $2000

02 - 4.0 I6 tranny slipping $4000 - Rebuilt transmission, installed 4" lift, added adjustable control arms all around, new tries.
About 30k miles later still going strong. This is my DD and have about $7200 total spent on it now including maintenance items since I bought it last year.

Bought it from my Dad about three years ago for my youngest son to drive while in high school. My Dad bought it new in 2000. After my son graduated from high school, he realized he wouldn't be able to afford gas for it in college, so we got him a car and I kept the WJ. Oh, paid my Dad $4500 3 years ago with 80K then, has about 135k now. Gonna be my toy as soon as we get that boy off the payroll!

$1000 for 99 laredo I6 with 82K on it. Catch was its from Canada and well, the entire underneath is rusted. started all of my fluid changes and maintenance. Not much wrong with it besides the rust, a few small paint and body issues, and what i believe is the water pump pulley making this god-awful noise. going to fix the rusted parts underneath by completely replacing everything with a 4in lift and all the goods to go with it, new custom drive shafts and upgraded axles to the varilocks off a v8 with 3.73 gears.

£3500....that's about $5600 for an 80,000 mile 04 CRD two and a half years ago from a desperate seller. Even with 109,000 miles on it now it would sell for rather more than that today. I could have had a gas model for quite a bit less......but I could not have afforded to run it at UK fuel prices. Overall, good value.
