IDK about 1997xj, but with a 4.0 and a 5spd I was told I have 3.07's. Wouldn't this make my higher speeds more obtainable. 2500 is wrapped out on mine. At 3000, I'll blow a hose if I keep it there too long.
When the wrangler kids at school quit wheeling with you. Short wheel base can be lame as hell. Especially when your getting into some more of the steep and off camber stuff.
When you walk into advanced and the guy says " what are you looking for? I'm sure you know and know where it is" and when my girl just got pissed at me for spending my time reading this forum and I continue
When your brother has a ford focus with 50k less miles than your jeep but his frame snaps and his water pump go within 2 weeks.. And I try and convince him to buy a jeep
I'm not too sure.. I didn't see it but what he told me was that the front of his frame snapped and he lost his wheel bearings and a tire came off. His words not mine lol
Sounds like he probably broke a hub assembly or possibly a suspension control arm, neither one of which is part of the "frame" but someone without much knowledge of cars might think it is (especially the control arms). I suppose it could be a control arm mount which would usually be welded to the engine sub-frame assembly.
Did he try to off-road his Focus  , hit a curb or large pot hole at speed? If it "just broke" he probably ignored warning signs for a long time, these rarely fail without making allot of noise and vibration first.
