So I was sitting in the truck stop last night in wayland mo I was walking the dog and saw a guy cut to close and destroyed the front of a parked truck. Cop came made the report the guy circled the lot and did the same thing again 200 feet from the first truck the cop hadn't gotten out of the parking lot yet. Never seen it twice in one night especially by the same driver. What a crazy night. I have pics but can't upload them.

Well there is alot more to it than that...

First I want a looser Torque converter in the high 2.8K-3.2K stall range to get into the torque band at the stall off the line and allow for flash if necessary.

Better off the line launch..... Then there is highway speed where I regularly run 100+MPH in road race courses and want the low heat build up of a lock up converter.
As good as the TH400 is ... and I built mine with the best of the best...it can't do all that what A 4l80 will do without breaking a sweat

I have 3.73's and 35" Toyo's and I still want the engine running a lower RPM when my gas mileage is 6 miles to the gallon.
Right now I run out of redline RPM's and of axle gear at 135 MPH... I need OD

My wife and I recently drove to Tenn to visit my niece and see her new baby girl. On the way back thru Kentucky, we stopped and finally got to meet KW and his wife. Great people, can't wait to see them again. I got to ride in this BBC CJ, trust me, awesome power. Loved the visit and the ride Keith ;) Taking my jeep to work this weekend to use the mig, and finish up the shocks and some other welding on it. Hope the next visit I have my jeep with me. til we meet again my friend ;) :cheers2:

Street, offroad, hill climb, mall driving.

The stall is way too low for a rip rocking dead start, good thing it has lots of low end grunt to get moving.

With both front and rear four link suspemsion it just squats and goes, it would be better to get in the torque band for even better acceleration.

However on the opposite side then highway mileage suffers, as I think I've said before when I can only get 6 1/2 miles to the gallon of gas so I'm trying for any kind of economy i can get.

Not so much for cost of the gas but even with a 25 gallon fuel tank filling up every 140 miles on a road trip gets old real quick.

I wouldn't think that combo would be any good for offroad, or at least what I would guess you mean by offroad (trails/rocks/etc.). I guess I would have expected anybody with a engine setup like that, a custom converter would have been built to suit the rest of the combo to get the most out of it.
