This thread is to serve as an inspiration to others modifying their ZJ's. Pretty simple, just post what you did to your ZJ today!

Today I shamefully took my Jeep to get the oil changed because it was to hot to change it myself.

Thursday I made a 150 mile trip to stay with some family, then Friday, made another 500 mile trip to see the rest of my family. Another 200-300 miles and I'll be at my final destination. Been hauling a 6'X12' Uhaul trailer, and for the most part the ol' Jeep has been running strong. It'll be time for a couple of fluid changes and tire rotation when I get where I'm going.

Cleaned mud off the headliner, seats, and dash. I need to remember to close my windows when going through mud lol.

I finally finished my e-fan today. It took a week of working on it for short periods of time at night. The box in the pic has the fan controller for low and the 70 amp relay for the high speed. I also got a nut for where the fan clutch used to be. For anyone who's curious, it's an M30 x 1.5. I had to special order it at Fastenal.

Noticed the spot right under the ignition key hole is padded so your keys don't rattle on the steering column. I guess I do learn something new every day lol.

Also took the dogs for a cruise out to the parents.

Rolled it into the shop, pulled the driver's side door, and after a little grinding, and a little work with the MIG, I have new hinge pins and new bushings. Closes with one finger now, no sag. :highfive:

Also put the gauges on the AC, and grabbed the soapy water and UV light to see where it was leaking. Lowside port. Replaced the port, still had enough R134 in the system to short-cycle the compressor. Recharged it until I was getting a solid 55 psi off the lowside port, and cold air inside.:2thumbsup:

Took my new tires on my new-to-me jeep and headed for an ATV trail down the road from the house. This non-lifted stock ZJ acted like it was bored. Ho hum. Said it to me, "What is this, the dirt road to grandma's house?" Going to have to try something harder. It did climb a nice steep (45 degree) hill though.

Resealed the timing cover, and did the chain and sprockets while I was at it. It was pretty sloppy.

Not a tough job, but the factory gasket is crazy hard to strip off completely. Die grinder with a nylon scouring wheel made quick work of it.

Letting the RTV set overnight, then oil change and refill the coolant.
