For future reference, is there anything needed to be done with the parking brake lines when removing the rear rotors? I tried attempting before I actually had a pro do it, and I unhooked the cable from the rear side of the rotors and they still would not budge. Hitting with the mallet only lessened them to a regress, and still no lick

Just jack up your jeep, remove the wheel, release the parking brake, remove the brake caliper by removing 2 18mm bolts behind the brakes.

At this point you will be able to pull out the rotor, you will see the parking brake assembly, don't touch it or it may fall to the ground, the parking brake cable is attached behind the parking brake assembly, there's no need to touch it to change the rotors. But if you do, and your parking brake cable gets unhooked, its really easy to hook it back, just remove the parking brake assembly, hook the cable and then place the assembly back in the axle.

If the rotors don't come out after removing the calipers and releasing the parking brake, then you will have to adjust the parking brake with a skredriver (loose it)

This web is on spanish, but you will understand.

This are the assemblys I was talking about.

Watch the fifth picture and you will see a starlike nut (the numer 5).

Now find the piece number 5 on the third or fourth pic. That's the nut that you will have to adjust with the screwdriver.

The hard thing is that you can't know if you are loosening it or tightening it :laugh:.

You will have to try loosening the brake, if you don't succeed, then you were tightening it. :2thumbsup:
