Well I will finally be making my first trip to the Rubicon with 2 other Jeeps all of the way from Florida some time between June 28th and July 3rd. I've done my research but I would really love the knowledge of someone who has run it before to join us. From what I understand it can be a little crowded on the trail this time of year but this is my only chance to go. If anyone would like to join us you are more than welcome. It doesn't matter to me if you have run it 100 times or never (as long as you have the equipment to do it), Just be ready to wheel.

I have a TJ with tons and 60s. My buddy has a TJ with 33s locked front and rear with a 44 in the rear with chromoly shafts and 4.88s. We also have a JKU rubicon on 35s that is still questionable on if they are going to tackle the trail with us.
The Rubicon is not that hard, it is more "relentless" as you have 12 miles of nothing but rocks, you get tired loose concentration and then make a mistake. Take your time and enjoy the trail, it is awesome scenery.
We will be trailering them or sure. Its a lot more confortable and efficient that way. Plus im not exactly sure that my jeep will be driveable after the trip. Haha.
where are you parking your trailers when you get there? at the spill way? if you want to leave them at my place im on 5 acres and u could leave them there and they would be safe. im not to far from georgetown. if all your jeeps are street legal and u can drive them from my place to the rubicon.

That would be great! We were planning on leaving them back at our campsite in Nevada. I'll PM you to get your info and then ill let you know for sure what we plan on. Thanks!
i just pmd u b4 i read your post. i didnt see you had a campsite in nevada. so are u planning on running from tahoe to rubicon springs and then run the trail backwards or drive to the loon lake entrance and follow the traffic?
Hey man, I'm headed to California from South Carolina and will be in southern cali during that time frame. I'm driving my jeep, not trailering it. So not sure if i want to tackle the rubi or not. I have a JKU with 3.5 lift and 35s. A Winch/bumpers etc. No lockers though. Dana 44 rear axle. I plan on stopping in Moab on my trip across country and do alot of wheeling in Socal while Im there, but the rubicon scares me LOL. Send me a PM and keep and touch, I'll let you know when we get closer.
I'm interested in this one... couldn't afford to run it during the jeep jamboree last summer. From the guys that went... they said 2 stock rubicons made the trail. A little cosmetic damage as they had no sliders or anything, but they did it.
Repost if you decide to reschedule... I was planning on getting there spring next year sometime...
