just thought it would be a neat idea if someone could start a thread with only pics and info on home mods. write-ups wouldn't have to be included but a link to one would be nice if it is available. if someone likes the idea, start it up!

Removed the back seat of my jeep for more SOUND! But for theft protection, i used metal hasp's and bolted the to the floor then attached my subwoofer box to the other end of the haso's with two padlocks. The amps are both mounted on the box, so stealing them would really require a bunch of work.... Pretty nifty if i do say so myself.... Il get the pic's up as soon as i get them

i cut out a piece of wood that would fit behind my back seat to cover my subwoofer and amp. i spray painted it black and i painted a mossy oak symbol and some camo to go in the middle of it. now i got protection and looks going for me. i have a picture of it on my gallery check it out and let me know what you guys think:2thumbsup: its customization baby! same with my air vents i took them out and painted them red

My buddy and I made a new front bumper for the jeep. We are planning out the rear right now.]

Nice job! Looks like you can fit two winches on that thing....

No I didn't but I will more than likely be making another set for a friend of mine, and I will take some then. everything is made of 1/4 inch steel. the actual rail is 2x4 box steel and the attachment legs are 2x2 which are attached to a 4x4 square flat steel and then welded onto the frame.

Since I got full soft doors, my hard doors will be off the Jeep for long periods of time and my old storage method of leaning them up against the work bench just wouldn't do. Three 2x4x104's, a bunch of screws and an hour later I have this. Its damn sturdy. Eventually I may get around to adding some casters, but its fine for now.

Me? nah, different white jeep. I will be mounting mine under the hood as I'm going to have to put turn signals where that mount is due to fenders going bye bye (when I can get my hands on a welder and learn the ways of welding and bending)

As we know wranglers are short on room. Well i found some old army ammo cans for sale. Got two of them for ten bucks. And i painted them flat black and mounted them to the rear of my bumper. Doesnt give much more room. But it gives me a good place to keep some more odds and ends.

FYI: Harley footpegs with a 9/16 x 3in bolt work awesome! If you swing by any chopper shop or harley place, they usually have tons of them because the bikers all upgrade the footpegs. The best part is that they have a squared corner so that they will swing in when they hit a branch, but only swing out to about 80 degrees (perfect angle for your foot).

If this is about clear as mud, I will go take a picture.

Semi-hard wired the power cord for my Zumo GPS into the underdash fuse box. I cut off the plug connector and ran the cord from the lower left corner of the windshield (where the mount sits), behind the dashboard to the fuse box. Actually used a funky little thing called "Add A Circuit". It plugs into an existing fuse slot and holds the original fuse and one additional slot for the "added" power feed. Max on either not to exceed 10 amps. The GPS's plug connector comes with a 3 amp fuse so that's what I used in the extra slot. I would have rather pinned one of the spare slots but the wire bundles are so tight that I didn't want the pull the whole dash out to gain working access to the back of the fuse box.
