Let this thread be an inspiration to all of us doing mods, maintenance, or repairs.

I'll start it off, over the holiday weekend, I did an oil and filter change, fixed a couple rattles, did the front brakes (new rotors and pads), and swapped the brake fluid.

Did the harmonic balancer yesterday , so far no more 4.0 squeal :p , maby I finally found the source . Today just a lot of "Web Wheelin " Thinking about my upcoming 8.8 swap . Which includes a T Case swap new drive shaft , and springs too . To keep downtime to a min I am considering doing it in phases . I have been looking but haven't see anything about running the 8.8 with a stock shaft without a SYE . Can it be done ? I know the SYE is the way to go . just considering my options .

Ugh! Swapped the alternator with a warrantied one and after about 5 min at idle the damn breaker popped again. Wtf. I checked all the grounds I could think of and everything looks good.
Since your grounds are good check all your hot leads. Maybe you have a bad battery or battery cable that is drawing the extra amperage? Also try pulling all fuses in the fuse box that doesn't shut the engine down. Then put them back one at a time until the circuit breaker trips.

Thanks for the tips! I found what looked to be a failing spice on my kc lights so removed and soldered the splice and viola! No more circuit break! So when i was confident i Took it for a spin on my little shakedown trail by my place to get the poor tires dirty. They've been clean for too long!

I probably know the answer to this, but if a water pump is rotating backwards and is leaking really bad, leading to an overheat, put the belt back on the right way, and now the engine goes straight to overheat, that pump is busted, yeah?

I cleaned up the gunk under the hood, well started to, anyways. After replacing the stat and flushing the system, I got sick of all the crud hanging around in there, bought a new set of wire brushes and a wire wheel just for this.

That's always fun!! The worse is when the rain water gets on the inside of the windshield!!! Hate it!
You need a 6" squeegee from the hardware store, mine's going constantly when it rains because I will NOT put the top back on till around the first hard frost LOL
