But tonite as I rode home with the top off I really loved my rust-bucket YJ! At damn near 300k she still runs strong and I won't give it up for the world. She just isn't so pretty right now so some cosmetic work is coming, but after a long time w/o it and just military vechiles it was twice as sweet.

Just figured y'all would get it more so than the rest of the site. ;)

I really like that J10.

Its screaming to be cleaned up. Would be an awesome project. Of course, it'd need a ton of body work and is probably too far rotted for what I'd want out of it..
Definitely needs cleaning but I agree would be an awesome project...and I wouldn't have to get it done as fast as yours is haha.

Gotta get it done and bugs worked out before our little guy gets here. The wife has 8 weeks left before she's supposed to pop.

It looks like I'm gonna make it.

A recently retired friend of mine was going to give his J10 to my son when he got his license. He bought the truck brand new and kept it bone stock. It was his baby... A month before my son gets his license the truck gets hit and totaled while parked in front of his house. Unlicensed/uninsured driver of course.

I understand. A buddy of mine just had a little girl not to long ago and that's all he can talk about now...when he's not talking about his drag racing on the weekends but i dont blame him she is cute. I hope all goes well these last few weeks of the pregnancy, and the build haha.

Dang that sucks for him and your son. I have always loved the look of those trucks so I'll have one eventually if I can still find them when the time comes.

Interesting ad. The ad listed the Jeep as a 1998 YJ, yet the last year of the YJ was 1995 with a few carried over into 1996.

That is one sweet J10. I have been eye-balling one here in my town, but it belongs to an old geezer who has too much money to know what to do with, and he will never sell it.:(

Have I mentioned I hate coil springs?

No?

I hate coil springs!!

But in light of that my not-soGrand Cherokar drives!!! Needs a serious alignment, new hub bearings, a new battery, need to drill out a broken off bolt and replace it, fill the CV yolk thingy with gear oil, and get a new fuel filler hose.........

How I just want to get this damn thing into my YJ already :brickwall

Take it from me children, don't go jumping your junk!!

I do triathlons and duathlons as a way of motivating myself and staying in good shape.
A couple weeks ago was a competition, A duathlon. Out at Cherry Creek Park.
A duathlon is a run/bike/run race. No swimming(way too cold here for that). They are VERY hard, require some sucking it up. At least when one is as old as I.
3.1 mile run, then a 30K(19 mile) bike ride, then another 5K run. Transitions, the whole bit..
I placed 3rd in my age group.
1st time I ever placed.
Very cool, very motivating.

I am also....old.

I am very sincerely proud of you for not giving in and pushing yourself to the limit.

Age group award, 3rd place.
Congrats!! That's very cool. Keep it up! Used to race in Miami when I was stationed down there. Lots of fun and lots of time training. It was always an amazing feeling finishing one of the harder ones you've been training for all year, mixed in with some smaller ones.

So...
I got an AR DRONE. A computerized helicopter with a camera in it.
Coolest thing. Flys with an iPad as a control and has a wifi network so the operator can see video LIVE. VERY cool.(very ....easy to misuse, I would think. READ: Big brother) (If I saw one floating around my house...I might shoot it down.)
Been practicing flying it. Around cars and like.
Going to take it jeeping this morning and see if we can record the Jeep doing some jeeping. I think it would be so cool.
If it works, I will post up.
