I got a 2 inch coil spring lift from IRO and I was wondering if it is possible to get budget boosters and put them on too. Give opinions and answers. Thanks. Post pics if done too.

Keep gettin muddy

Yes, it's possible. But here's the thing - going from a 2" lift to a 4" lift literally quadruples the cost. It is not as simple as just adding taller springs or adding spacers. Whereas with a 2" lift you can get by with just springs and shocks, when you add those 2" spacers you are going to need new shocks (again), sway bar end links front/rear, front adjustable track bar, at least one set of adjustable control arms up front, an A-arm spacer (or new arm) and a new front driveshaft since the one you have now will grenade when you lift that high. Plus, 4" is where the death wobble starts coming out because it gets harder and harder to optimize caster and driveline angle and you add a lot more stress on things like the existing control arms and tie rod ends.

So you can do it, but it's not a good idea. You would come out money ahead if you just sold the 2" lift as a package and bought a complete 4" lift from IRO instead.

Please post a pic of your 2 inch IRO lift! Google shows no results and they have none on their website. How do you like it so far? Can you comment on how they flex? Have you seen how they perform on washboard roads yet?
I'm torn between the 2-3 inch lifts. BDS, IRO, or OME HD will be one of my choices.

It's on their site: http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merc...=IROR&Product_Code=IR-W2FSK&Category_Code=PFW

I do think it is overpriced though considering you get garbage twin-tube shocks. With the no-shocks option it is more expensive than BDS and their Bilstein upgrade is more expensive than buying from Kolak. Sure it's only $30 here, $50 there but all of a sudden you've overpaid $150. And never buy spring isolators from IRO - they are twice the price or Kolak or RockAuto. I get that IRO is a Forum Vendor and their 3", 4" and 6" lifts are all great values. I just don't see that in their 2" "foundation" lift.

Plus IRO runs very soft spring rates, just barely firmer than stock. I was looking for stiff, went with BDS which is about as firm as they come.

I was looking for a pic of the installed lift to get a feel for the rake. Josh at IRO said the hub to fender is around 20.25 front and 20 rear and the spring rate is 200 inch/lbs. Slightly less rear lift and spring rate than the BDS or the OME coils. I'll be getting some Billy's and some good isolators form Kolak. I've read your comprehensive thread; it has tons of value and insight.
To the OP, I wouldn't add spacers, everyone on here that has says it rides like crap, even with the adjustable trac bar and extended sway links. Long arms are ideal at 4".
