Well their weld wasnt bad and they set me up in an hour on a saturday so thats good by me. Havent been there in 10 yrs. Had a shaft on a van straightened, balanced, new joints and rear yoke for like 80$ back then.Hope your shaft holds up for you. Dayton clutch and joint are horrible and won't stand by their product.
How wide are your rear wheels though? 15x10?74Maverick said:Well I got my driveshaft cut down 1" Slapped it in and made a few final checks. It all looks and feels really solid. Im happy with it and the whole ordeal cost me under 250$.
I might reccomend either cutting it down or getting a full width front to match it. It kinda reminds me of that cartoon dune buggy from the 70s.
Nice Jeep. Those are the Uintas in the background, right? Beautiful mountains, great packing, great fishingI got a little dirty. First time playing and I'm still smiling.

Can't find padding for intermediate jeeps, so I did this, pain in the neck but worth it
Your rear shock mount is broken too. The shock is supposed to be connected to the spring plate.I got a little dirty. First time playing and I'm still smiling.

I'm good right? You had me worried about it until I went and looked at it again since it totally looks like the shock is hovering in the picture.Your rear shock mount is broken too. The shock is supposed to be connected to the spring plate.
Looks like the shock is good, brake lines are no longer attached to the axle. Also, it looks like the line is leaking pretty good where it connects on the passenger drum too.sanctified said:I'm good right? I re did the axle seal the other day and didn't clean it up very good. I also replaced the brake line from the wheel to the splitter and I guess I forgot to re attach the splitter. The PO had zip tied it to the axle. What is a better way to do that?Looks like the shock is good, brake lines are no longer attached to the axle. About 3 hours with my 9 year old daughter helping meX2... Howling did that take you?
With a SOA the brake lines need to be lengthened and relocated. Stock, mine attach to spring perch. Location might still be there for you. If not, probably fab a small bracket.sanctified said:I re did the axle seal the other day and didn't clean it up very good. I can see the mounting hole for it in the one picture.sanctified said:I re did the axle seal the other day and didn't clean it up very good.
