Are you're gauges going wacky when starting to shut down, particularly the gas gauge and/or voltage gauge? If so you may want to get an ohm meter, set it to the lowest ohm setting, and check the plug at the far back/passenger side by the valve cover to the crank sensor. Put the black meter probe on only the middle B pin (ground cavity) and the red probe on either A or C like in the below directions (same for 4.0 and 5.2). Any resistance at all, it's bad, and only replace w/another Mopar sensor. Good luck.
Most likely the PCM is getting ready to die. Could be the IAC valve that just needs cleaning.
