I searched but couldn't find a thread on 2/2.5" lift pictures. I realize you could look through the "Post Your WJ Pics" sticky, but for people looking for lift specific pictures, this could be a start.

So let's see them! Please state lift information with your post.

QUESTION: For the guys posting the FatBobs 2.5" lift, is it the one I am seeing that actually lists the front springs at 2.5" and the back at 2"? I am thinking about ditching my 2"bb lift for this setup, it should put me a little higher than where I am at now correct? Is the spring rate stiffer than stock?

Yes thats the one i put on last night. While i cant give you specifics, i can tell you the spring itself is of a thicker guage than the stock coils i removed. And yes its the 2.5" front 2" rear. I also installed all new coil spring isolators which helped since my stock ones were smashed down pretty good. From where it sat before i lifted it it actually went up closer to 3" because of the new isos. I love the way it looks and the ride is pretty nice as well.

Does it matter what type of spacers? I have seen that blistein 5100 are good. What about skyjackers?
I'm not sure how important the type of spacer is. I've never had a bb. I did a 2.5" coil and shock lift. I found it was around the same price as doing a bb with shocks. Bilstein 5100 is one of the best shocks you could buy. I have pro comp 8000s on mine and they ride just fine. Message Kolak and ask him what spacers he recommends. He could definitely help you.

How much was your lift and what was all involved in doing it?

Well seeing your jeep is a 99 (from your name) you definitely will need new isolators if you go the route I did. They're $100 for the whole set of 8 from Kolak. Then the 2.5" lift kit from fat bobs with the coils and shocks was $299.99 plus shipping was around $50. It took a good 6 hours to put on. You'll need a 15mm socket and def a breaker bar. I'd recommend buying some pb blaster to try and help loosen the bolts holding the rear shocks in place. They were insanely tight, and mines an 02. I even had one break and I have it ghetto rigged til I can get my hands on a sawsall tomorrow at work. I didn't rent a coil spring compressor, I just put a jack under the control arm to hold it up and removed the bolts attaching to the tie rod. After the bolt was removed, I slowly lowered the jack and the coil stretched out fully. Then you can push down on say the rotor and it'll help free the coil spring so you can pull it out. I also had to do this when putting the longer springs in. I even had to use my jack to spead the space open to get the springs in. (I rented a compressor but it was the wrong style) ill be honest the lift kit was a pain in the ***, not saying all wj lifts will go as rough as mine did. But every single bolt took all I had with a breaker bar to turn. And not just to break it free, it was that tight all the way out. It sucked, bad.

Is your lift better than a coil spacer lift?
