I like almost all of rob zombies movies though.. Problem is that most horror isn't scary I like a scare. Like the 90s had the best horror movies because most of the writers were messed up in the head these says it's normal people writing the scripts.
I saw the full trailer for it last night before evil dead. I'm not sure about it either. I loved the orig. with sissy spacek and esp. Stephen king himself questioned the remake as well.

I agree...looks stupid to me...it's like remaking the shining.
I didn't really care for evil dead (the remake) it was graphic but I wish they had done more demonic voices and made it more along the lines of the exorcist.
The conjuring looks like a stellar movie....but honestly movies like dead silence and the shining and insidious are the kind of movies that I like
I just wish writers would make horror/scary movies with a new concept. I've always had this idea of a movie of a guy waking up in this old abandoned hotel with no memory of how he got there and it's like the really haunted hotel with tons of paranormal stuff going on and he has to find his way out before getting killed....making it a real time movie...
I like your idea with the movie from the hotel and the guy not remembering anything. Remaking the shining?!? Impossible! It is sooo good, probably one of the best classics.
I also like ( you are gonna laugh at this one!) the nightmare on elm street. Freddy Krueger. I remember watching growing up, me and my best friends sitting a hole in the sofa and smoking cigarettes and watching part after part after part... I grew up with freddy( as the movies) and I of course have them as collectors item. That was a must. My friend where we were watching these movies passed away and the movies still remember me on good old times of sequences of growing up with my friends.
I think horror ( or any) movies cam quite a significant part of your life.
