But tonite as I rode home with the top off I really loved my rust-bucket YJ! At damn near 300k she still runs strong and I won't give it up for the world. She just isn't so pretty right now so some cosmetic work is coming, but after a long time w/o it and just military vechiles it was twice as sweet.

Just figured y'all would get it more so than the rest of the site. ;)

OK, so...
New project.
Front tube fenders.
I have decided on the flair size, 3 1/2 inches(to match the rear flairs I made a couple years ago). The material, 1 1/2 inch HREW black pipe(I think it is .093 walled, I have a bender already that can bend that) and 16ga A-50 armor plate for the skin. and pretty much the style(not sure I should say...I am copying a design I found on the net).

I will post up as I go.

This is just about the last thing on my build list...
Am motivated to do it now.

There are still a couple of things on my "wish list". But the building is pretty much done.(still need to flip the tie rod too)

I wish:
I had a stroker
I have toyed with the idea of going to 35's, but I just bought new tires so am on 33's for their life, anyhow.
I am looking actively at led lights. My lite dots(name brand) SUCK! and am needing to replace them, but will need to drill 4 1/2 inch holes in my corners(crusher corners, 1/4 inch steel), am not against that, but the drill bit costs more than the led lights do.
A new paint job to correct for the clear coat that is peeling off(cheap factory paint).
Will upgrade the brakes to the Black Magic pads when what I have now wears out.

The front fenders and the tie rod flip is the last things on the ole' build list.

Its funny that the build list isn't the end of the building. Its just the things written down.
Ha your right. My list started as a few simple maintenance items thinking I was gunna buy and flip my jeep for a truck. Ha! Didn't know what I was gettin into and wouldn't do it different if I could! My list is like 4 pages long with the BIG dream a ways down the road

I still need to do that too. I'm just waiting for someone to send me a stock pitman arm.

I can't bear to spend more money on it. So I'll just drop a load of cash your way (with commission) so you can buy parts for me. I won't be any more broke than I am now, so it'll be like Christmas all year long as parts show up randomly

Me? You'd be surprised how often I've been a personal shopper recently. That's how I got my green. Apparently I scratched the right back. :)

Indeed!!! We only ask you to be the shopper because you do such a great job at it. While I'm on the subject of you shopping for people. What locker do you think I should run in the d30? Lock right or Aussie? Etc? Need a lunch box not a selectable. Wanna use it when I regear later. All input from everyone is greatly appreciated btw :)

Shush your mouth. The tie rod assembly was free along with the flip kit. I can send the pitman arm out Monday if you would like. I think I still have your address.
Haha, I was just pulling your chain. I'll text it to you if you want.:highfive:
