We had a ZJ Dropped off at the shop this week, so we figured, no better time than now to work on some DIY bumpers.

We'll keep updating this as we get further along.

Here is the design of the front:

Their fancy XJ kit is $283, I hope this will be in the same ballpark.
Their complete bumpers are very reasonably priced, as well.

I know its a 9 hourish drive for you but you could get it shipped to a company in Oroville, Washington and drive down to pick it up.

That bumper looks so very nice. I would love it more if instead of a winch there could be a hitch receiver and a power plug to go with my multiple winch point set up.

I think I may have messaged you about this on CherokeeForum. I'm glad to see you looking into this. Although I could certainly fabricate something like this myself and have a welder and plasma cutter to play with just the mere ease of a DIY kit like this pa me in the market for possibly picking one up. I'm not sure how much you work with others on design collaboration but if you'd like any input from a ZJ owner with fan experience I'd love to offer a hand in the brainstorming department... Just a thought.

I've been a big fan of JCR for years with my XJ... And I've been considering a '97 Grand Cherokee that's for sale locally..... Maybe this is a sign from the universe...

When do you expect these to be available? AND... If you're doing the front now, is it safe to figure that the rear and rockers are the next projects on your list???

We cut the first prototype this morning, we are working on it as I type. Might be ready for production in like 10 days or so? Just depends on how smoothly everything goes.

For now, we are going to offer this front. If sales go well, we will probably work on a rear option.

We already offer Sliders for ZJ's.

Center of grille to front face of bumper is ~7 3/4".

I would like a more flush paneling, not opposed to the recessed like it is though.
I don't know what this means.

Whats the assembled weight?
Not sure yet. Haven't got that far.

Would like to see the tow points. Kinda a decision point for me
They are on there!

I am interested in having a removable winch or the winch set lower to give more air flow over the radiator. I like the look of your bumper and I am in need of getting a new winch bumper to fix my air flow issues.
This is a very minimum air blocker. If you are having overheating issues, it has more to do with something in your system than airflow!

We won't be offering anything with a full sunk winch. Approach angle is very important on ZJ's and putting the winch up higher allows for a better approach angle!
