About to do this myself... good things to note.Spent a bunch of money that I don't have today, just to finally try and get my sound system installed. $200 to be exact. Just in speaker wire, 8 gauge amp wiring kit, two 17ft RCA cables, and a line out converter.
Dedicated a whole day to the install, only to run into a ton of problems and now im stuck with my jeep disassembled.
Basically I ran all of the wires so far except the speaker wires. I am installing a two amp setup. One bass with its own amp, and one amp for the speakers. Both placed in the back cargo area of my jeep. We ran all the cables from my battery through the firewall, under all of my trim, all the way to the back.
My problem now is, when I went to wire the first speaker (Drivers door) I also had to run the wire along the whole side of the jeep under the trim, only to find out that there is NO WAY to run the cord through the door harness. All of the stock wiring to the door (speaker, windows, locks etc) are all plugged into door frame instead of being wired through a hole. So now I have to way to wire my speaker wire into my door, unless I drill a damn hole in my door frame, which im not going to do.
So im sitting here, angry, frustrated and tired. With my jeep disassembled in the back yard
Figures, you are using a Samsung. SMHJaashua said:Sad, I figured anyone with good enough taste to like Jeeps would stay away from Apple. Bazinga.

Yea there is no empty cavities big enough to fit the wire through. Im using some pretty thick wire (16 gauge) but even much much smaller wire wouldn't fit through, the only empty cavity is just a very tiny hole. Are there empty cavities in the connector?
You can poke a wire thru a couple of the empty cavities (which would then make the connector not really disconnect-able), or you could go to a JY and get a pair of connectors and populate some of the empty cavities..
Me too! I have what I think is coffee or cola splashed up into the ceiling. I do not want clean spots and non-clean spots, you know?croth said:Woolited the ceiling? Never thought about that. How did it work? I've been wondering what to use on it.
Yes it worked amazing, I'm still thrilled about it.http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f67/leaky-sunroof-watermark-removal-1490385/
According to Jaashua, it worked great.
I hate when they put that crap on...Dealer plate rim (front and back), dealer sticker. I got tired of being a driving advertisement.
This is my next project! A friend of mine that used to work as a manger of a detail shop, gave my a special liquid, but it leaves "clean" spots, GRR!cherrybomb05 said:http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f67/leaky-sunroof-watermark-removal-1490385/

What was the issue? I'm currently using an FM modulator for an aux input. It's not that bad, but I was looking at the ICH73 to get a little more sound quality. Also, the factory stereo did not link up to the ICH73 whatever unit I bought from isimple. On to the next idea. :-(

Looks great!I got 245/70r17 Duratracs today!
I am happy to advertise for the place where I bought mine. Luckily though, he didnt put stickers or the front plate bracket on, so my front bumper is still a virgin.cherrybomb05 said:Dealer plate rim (front and back), dealer sticker. I got tired of being a driving advertisement.
For you too! I replied to the PM. Happy to sell them to you, but like I mentioned, the shipping would be a killer. They are in excellent shape, just not my style. I am a HUGE fan of the Wrangler Moab's and picked up a set of near new ones, which I am STOKED on. Cant wait to sell these.Haha Jaashua, I already pm'd him for them!
