First off, thanks to everyone here for all of the guidance and suggestions.....the search button is priceless, almost feel I need to upgrade my membership so I can search faster!!!

Anyway, this weekend I installed the 2" Daystar lift, 1.5" Spidertrax spacers, Bilsteins all around, Stillen Brake rotors and pads, and 265/70/17 Goodyear Duratrac's on Moabs! Also proceeded to do the pinch weld mod and expanded sheet metal grill.

I will snap some pics of the car tomorrow, its dark out and hard to take a pic of the entire car in the garage, but I did come across some things while doing the pinch weld.

I found that after heating (and melting a little bit) the passenger side fender liner, it still did not quite shape up perfect. I did gain enough clearance to prevent rubbing, but I am not sure if it will rub when flexed. On the driver side, I noticed rubbing immediately after putting the lift and tires on and I had already almost worn through the liner in two days. Full lock was definitely contacting the pinch weld pretty good.

On the drivers side, as you can see in the second pic, I actually cut the liner, and used some gorilla tape like in a post I came across while searching. The interesting part was, I heated the gorilla tape once I applied it and not only did it adhere very well, it also shrunk and pulled the liner tight. I followed up with a light coat of rustoleum that was left over, and I think it came out fairly decent. Time will tell.

Did you install the whole OEM hitch yourself? Do you have a parts list or a good place to buy the stuff?

Changed my oil, oil filter, put a drop in K&N air filter in, and did my other pinch weld the other day. I had been on the fence about the drop in filter for a while and when I went to get a regular filter at advanced auto parts they only had the K&N ones which was enough to push me to get one. The filter felt like it had a small affect on acceleration at full throttle as I tried it out before I did my oil to get a better result but that also might be because my old one was pretty old. At any rate its washable and now I can tell people I have a K&N intake without fully lying JK.

I called my local jeep dealership to see how much it'll cost me to program my new fog lights when I get them installed. I about fell out when he said $85. Everybody else seems to be getting it done cheaper or for nothing! Does it have to be done at a jeep dealer? Any suggestions?

George is at the dealer for his first check up. On the list of things to check into and/or fix are: Hemi oil change, replace struts and shocks, find the bug in the Uconnect system (might need a new head, any ideas?), replace the chrome strip on the back bumper that is dented (the back up sensors are still working, this is strictly cosmetic) and lastly, what can be done about the leather wearing off on the steering wheel.

I paid a local leather repair guy like $50 to fix mine...looks brand new...just search for a leather repair guy in your area!
