Sent her to the workshop for a new undercoat, then I got the message that there was more rust that it looks like in the first time. Now it will get a full treatment with washing, sandblasting, new primer and at last the hole undercarrige sprayed with Tectyl all over. Hopefully it will last a long time with no worries about rust.
Picture of the treatment will come later.
This picture is taken when I was in the montain skiing.

They let you get away with that in the Communist Republic of California?

Joking aside, I'm suprised that it passes emissions without a muffler.
I havent tried. Only been off a couple of months. I think I need to go through emissions pretty soon here. I'm just going to get some exhaust flanges and weld them on the pipes. That I way I can just throw it on real quick with two bolts and take it off quick whenever. And then even bend a new pipe w/o a muffler that can take place of the stock. That way I can just go back and forth switching them out whenever I need to

What is this "emission" thing you speak of. LOL

Born in Cali. Knew there was a reason I left and never went back.

Here in CT they aren't too crazy, so long as you got a cat they can see, and your car isn't smoking like a steam train, you've passed.

But yeah I don't know if maybe my problem was just because the computer trying to learn so many new things at once; TPS, exhaust flow, etc. but it was strange. When I get another opportunity again I will see if I can replicate it. In the meantime I'm gonna pick up a set of champion plugs and throw those in, and then unplug my batt for a few hours, and see how it's all running after, maybe even a new fuel filter too for good measure. If still acting weird, I'll have to start looking at my drivetrain next.

And on topic, I cleaned mine up on the inside, put the back seats down and got it set up for the dog; bedding, cage, etc. Also managed to put my mossy oak seat covers on my leather seats without them slipping off every time lol

Got my front drive shaft CV joint kits (front and rear). Need to get them on the drive shaft and then the drive shaft on the Jeep. Those jobs are always fun in the snow. Lol
Have you done the joint replacement before? I had a few cv shafts extra when mine went so I swapped 2 new ones on and it was pretty simple.

Fixed my death wobble today! Had an ex employee from rubicon say my track bar was fine and I needed more caster. Then another mechanic say to throw a steering stabilizer on it.

Finally decided I was going to step up from my laziness and check things out myself. Holy crap! The track bar I could shake with my hand. The bolt head had about a centimeter gap from the plate on the axle bracket. The frame bracket was almost just as loose. I had someone turn the wheel and the hole track bar just jiggled back and forth in there. Torqued it to specs and voila. Can't believe the guy told me my track bar was fine.

That's why I'm the only one that touches my vehicles when they need repaired.

I've had my muffler off since I bought it basically and you are the only person who I have heard say that. Im not really sure why it would burn up the valves? It doesnt drop that much pressure. The exhaust is still going through 3 damn cats.

But I know Im never going to put a muffler back on it. It just sounds to damn good. Right now it just dumps under the car, but I will be extending the stock tail pipe to fit the gap of the muffler. That should raise back pressure a little bit.

Ive never really heard on any car that cutting the muffler off would burn up the valves. But if there is some proof or something then I would believe it!
i have a 4.0L and cut it off about 9 months ago have never had a problem am doing duals soon not true duals obviously. but about 3 months ago i started it up and had a horrible knock for about 5 seconds then it went away never happened sense. dont know if i lost oil pressure fpr a few or what cuz my oil pressure sensor was shot at the time lol oops
