After a couple years of talking about getting a jeep a finally got one. It is an 01 with the 5 speed 2.5L. Its running a 2.5 in body lift on 32 x 10.5 BFG A/T with 4.11 gearing. It has been a blast to drive so far. And the pitiful excuse for the small amount of mud on it is that I saw the mud puddle at church and couldn't get to sloppy haha.
Thanks guys. Right now I am still kind of planning what I am going to do to it, I am an avid bow hunter so a roof rack is at the top of the list for first things. I won't be doing a lot of crawling so I am going to leave the lift alone. After the rack Im going to get new axles and then some bumpers. Im a college student so it is going to be a slow build. Right now I am happy with it though.
Welcome to a world of unlimited possibilities, also buy a smaller wallet, That big Fossil wallet will be empty before you can say 4" RC lift with 35" BFG's, Dana 44 convertion with lockers, warn winch with the hella fog lamps and a sweet a$$ Dixie flag painted on the hood.

Build it to your needs... the roof rack is a good idea, but can kill your mpg's, even worse than they are now. If you're going into the bush alone, I'd invest in a winch. Enjoy that 4-banger, they're a beast!
Very nice, i wanted one for many years and love mine.
