Hi everyone I'm new here! Looking for some help. I have an 08 Patriot with 65,000 miles on it. I bought it brand new. About a week and half ago I was backing out of the driveway and after I got in the street, put it in drive & the Jeep kept going in reverse. Happened two times over say 3-5 days. Then this past Thursday I went to get in it at lunch & the gear shift (it's an automatic) was really hard to move to drive. Then yesterday I backed out of the driveway and it took the Jeep what seemed like almost a minute to actually start moving forward once I put it in drive gear. It also only seems to hesitate when the car is cold. After I drove it a while yesterday it slipped into drive fine with no hesitation. Any idea what this is? Thanks in advance for your help. Kim

Ha! That would be my luck! It got REALLY cold here quick (I live in northern MS). Like went from 70 degrees to 30 overnight when the hard to shift the gearshift started. Yesterday was warmer outside and it went into drive fine when backed out of driveway.
