Looks great jgc4ever, and very familar!
I have done many of the same mods to my '12 Brilliant Black Overland Summit.
Did you paint the mirror covers or swap them with OEM painted ones? (Tried to get BlackOps C/F ones but at this point I wouldn't buy a bag of dirt for 10 cents, w/free shipping, from that assh**e!
What's the OEM part# for the hemi badge on the rear liftgate? Is it from a Jeep or another Chrysler vehicle? Nice!
Is that the OEM rear fog kit or the aftermarket one that plays like another set of rear tailights?
Part # for the Vapor edition front JEEP badge? Thought about it, but didn't think it would look good on B/B paint. Very Nice!
Have you thought about replacing the chrome door handles with painted B/B OEM painted ones? Not sure I want to take my door panels off to do that? But it would complete the "blacked out" look.
Did you have chrome fog bezels swapped to Laredo black ones, or did your Overland come that way?
Swapped the mirror covers for OEM painted ones.
HEMI badge part # 68028278AB. I got it from stevewhitemotors on ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/DODGE-RAM-J...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5ae8655e61 - I think the price went up as I only paid $13 if I remember right. It's a stock Mopar/Jeep part from the 2010 Grand Cherokee. It's also shown on the 2011 Grand Cherokee in the user guide booklet.
The rear red reflectors are unchanged. They are only lit up because of the flash of the camera.
Black Jeep Hood Badge from Grand Cherokee Vapor is item # 68193400AA. I did not like the look of the chrome JEEP hood badge at all with the new brilliant black grille and black inner Overland mesh.
The fog light surrounds are stock on my Overland.
Ideally I want the handles replaced with brilliant black ones. But, I would not attempt it myself. I like the chrome handles so will probably keep it as is. I did already buy the GRAND CHEROKEE chrome letters for the doors (before the price tripled), but I like the chrome strips on the doors and getting the sticky residue off from under the JEEP badge was a slow and not fun process. I keep thinking if I should keep the wheels as is, or get the same wheel in either polished, chrome, black chrome, gloss black. I have no idea, so I guess I'll stick with what I've got. Kind of always wanted the polished Overland Summit wheels or aftermarket pvd chrome Overland wheels though.
I really hope Jeep builds a 2014 Overland or Summit special edition that has chrome replaced with painted parts, like an S-Limited but like the new 2014 Overland with leather dash, etc., and with painted matching lower fascias. Also, I have a Brilliant Black exterior and Light Frost Beige interior. What I really want Jeep to offer is exterior paint in Black Clear Coat (same as Gloss Black) and with a black interior with silver or black aluminum (instead of brown wood), or with the black Summit wood. So that's why I'll hold off on anymore changes. Plus, if I get a new WK2, I already have a buyer for mine, my parents, and they don't want me to remove the chrome from the doors.
