This is a thread for everyone that would like to join us for a last chance canyon/nightmare gulch run....here are the names of the people that will be joining us so far....we are meeting at 0930 off of garlock road at the trailhead and will airdown/meet eachother there.......October 20th
On the 14, at the Newhall exit (which is the first exit, if I remember correctly) there's a gas station and a Carl's Jr.
Want to meet there say.... 7:00am and hit the road again by 7:15? According to google maps, it should take about 1:45 to get to LCC from there. Do any of yall who will be meeting up with us LA folks have a CB?
Thats awesome! I've ran this area before but never have been able to do the Nightmare Gultch. Since they have gated off for only a few days out of the month to run.
so are you a for sure then AJeep? I'll add you to the list if so......sounds like a good meeting area daniel, the entrance if i remember correctly is off of garlock road right across from saltdale road?
Yes I am in. 9:30am at the bottom of Last Chance Canyon? I dont know if this matters but I think that Garlock road, is also known as Red Rock-Randsburg Road, off of the 14. According to a map I have the GPS coordinates 0418373 E - 3913501 N, this is the bottom of Last Chance Canyon. I hope that helps. If it messes anyone up let me know and I will edit this post? :cheers2:

Yeah I was reading your post over there Daniel, looks like a couple people from out your way may join us Chris. Two from Ridgecrest, and one from Rosamond.
Danny talked to Ron, he said he's trying to get a driveshaft this week. If he can find one he said he'll go. He also said if he can't find one at a junkyard he may just reinstall the one he pulled out. Sounds like he'll make this run.

Yeh I just noticed that. I'm still unsure where they
Turn off is for nightmare gulch but I guess with all thirty jeeps going one of us should know lol. And just to be clear we're meeting up at the trailhead off of garlock road correct?
there's going to be a lot of jeeps. do you guys put a cap on it when it starts getting out of control? 30 jeeps might take us all day to run one trail lol
I don't know i've never run a trail with this many jeeps before.....i thought danielbuck liked to run trails will smaller groups....but he keeps posting on every board he's a member of  you're the "trail leader" NBMgreg, you let us know how many jeeps you want to go.:teehee:

Updated first post to reflect the new people that will be joining us....not sure about the MJR folks that will be joining us....hopefully you can communicate to them where and when they should meet you daniel.....
Yea, they know when and where to meet. I'm not going to make a list for them, but I will probably give them my phone number in case any of them are running a tad late.
OK guys here is my update, even if I get her put back together I might not make it. Turns out that the weekend planned is my B-day weekend and I always go to the in-laws for the weekend.
If anything changes I will let you know. BTW the front axle u-joints were a BI%$H to get out! Man were they ever stuck, they have to be the OEM joints, thats 24 years old man!
So how far is the beginning of the trail from the end of the trail (by paved road)?
If I bring my kids, I might tow the Jeep behind the Suburban so they can sleep while I drive. So I'm wondering where I'd leave the Suburban and how far away we'd end up.
