A few guys up here in Rutland county VT are planning on getting together and taking a trip to Old Florida Road April 19th. It will be my first time going there. If you guys could shoot me some links to pictures or videos you might have that would be cool. I have seen some videos and pictures and by the looks and from what i've heard the trail is pretty awesome but it's always nice to see more to get myself a little more pumped for the trail... Any tips and pointers or other info on the trail would be cool too. Thanks everyone

It's not to far form OFR.
Yeah, no idea. I know a few trails that look similar to that in Savoy, NA, Pittsfield, and Lanesboro. That pic just looks like a spot I've seen on a trail in Pittsfield, though.

If OFR is in MA why is this post in Vermont? How do I get there I need to go
Lol, good question! I think we are forbidden to give out locations in the forum, but I'm sure if you ask around out in the real world, someone will know. It's a popular trail.

Yes OFR is in Mass but many out of states drive this great road.
Don't drive it alone 33's a winch and at least a one locker are now a must for this road. Hook up with a club and run it with them. www.nova4x4.org

Just realized I never posted in here after the run. Our three Jeeps had a great time. Specs were mine on 35s with a Detroit TruTrac in the front and LS in the rear, another TJ on 33s open/open, and a YJ on 32s with two aussies. Had to do some winching over the first ledge due to clearance underneath on the TJ on 33s and the YJ, and the fact that it had absolutely poured torrentially the night before leaving everything soaking wet and slippery.

I personally suffered the most damage... blew a bead off my rear driver's tire about a mile from the lake, tore my rear passenger shock mount off the axle tube (ECGS 8.8), and did some damage to the rear diff cover. All in all, had a blast. Hesitated to do the lake crossing at the end, but all three of us went through sticking to the left. Had a blast, can't wait to run it again with better tires (still on All Terrains, which I think limited me a lot) and a tummy tuck.

Nothing wrong with a 4 door. If you can make it through with what you got, you have bragging rights.

North Shore Jeeps ran OFR last weekend. Just to keep this updated, here are a few shots of the trail. Lake seemed to be pretty low leveled, probably due to the lack of rain. Great foliage, rock was decently dry. Lots of rocks built up at obstacle 1 as an aid to whoever was there before us. We tried to clear them off to the side just to let it be a challenge without much cheating.

Hudson Valley 4 Wheelers had a good run on OFR (and Tunnel Road) yesterday. Was pretty wet and muddy which made the rocks slick and made the water at the end deep. For the first big obstacle the right hand line was doable although required getting cozy with the rock wall and the left hand line required a fair amount of rock stacking. On the second big obstacle the right hand line worked well for everyone. Straight up the middle there wasn't working well with the water and mud. Had a few mechanical issues (hub, ujoint, debeaded tire) but overall great day!
