EDIT:

The TJ has been stretched for about a year. It work wonderfully.
On 4/14/11 I picked up a set of Dana 60s. King Pin SnowFigher front from a 79 250. Rear is also out of a 79. Post 107 Starts the 60s build.

I am currently stretching the wheelbase of my TJ.

My TJ has progressed a lot over the years since I purchased it.
From Stock Daily Driver to modified daily driver to more modified daily driver to even more modified Trail Rig. I want to keep the jeep streetable, but have one that performs on the trail as well.

The day I bought it. Strait panels and no scratches.

First dirt.

modified your thread title slightly to better suit ;)
Well thank you meant to do that but never got around to it.

I've had about enough of life getting in the way of the TJ

Hoping to spend some time on the TJ this weekend

Picked up some 8 lug rollers today off of CL. The YJ on 35s barely cleared the barn door so I hope they will allow me to get in the barn in the future.

Been busy with work and been focusing on getting the house ready to sell.

Also, the YJ is for sale as whole or as parts. Pm if interested in anything.

Pm on the dodge was the killer dowel pin fix

Advanced timing
Rotated factory fuel pin since I haven't ordered an aftermarket one yet
Rotated the star wheel one rotation

I haven't adjusted the smoke screw yet but I am thinking about it to get more low end, but I don't really want it to smoke as its just wasted fuel.

So far the dodge has a RBHAF 10.5"L x 10.5" dia. on it, pump adjustments and 4" turbo back strait pipe. Dodge is the daily driver currently so it's a must that it runs and is reliable.

Been a while since posting anything.

Went to hook up the gas on my welder and POP the regulator plug blew at 945pm. Luckily my buddy had a spare so I'm going to get to do some welding. Nothing special, just going to finish weld the motor mounts.

Life has slowed down a little bit so I'm going to have more time for the jeep.

Edit reg was bad but buddy had a spare

Been busy with other things lately

So far today...

Put these on my first gen cummins today.

You can get them for 99 through pirate

Wired in a relay and such. I live away from the city so extra light is always good.

Only LEDs

LEDs and headlights

Headlights

From the front

Also pulled bearings out of the front spindles and rear hubs as well as sanding them down. Not much but needs to get done.

Next going to play with front control arms and such.

So been a little bit. Today was working on my father in laws trailer putting a new tongue on it and ran out of gas. Lets just say he used to not believe in a pin lock or chains. Said he was in a hurry. Luckily no one was hurt and the trailer was the only damage luckily.

Anyway I'm in the garage taking measurements on a 4 link calculator for the front. Not really sure what anti squat I should e shooting for in the front. I'm assuming near 100% or a little less to keep it nice and planted.

Uppers will be triangulated to center the axle.

So I played with mounting location ideas last night for hours.

Trying to get an upper triangulated suspension may not fit for the low ride height I'm looking for. If I triangulate the lowers that puts the mounts under the oil pan to have 32" lowers (2x shock travel).

I can do uppers triangulated but the axle side upper mounts in relation to the frame are at 20* in relation to the truss which should be 40* in relation to one another. Is that enough. Their separation is 14" apart. The lowers will also be angled out but not enough to center the axle like that.

Looking for help. Thanks

I'm no expert, but why not do a 3-link in front with a panhard bar? I realize you're trying to get away from a TB, but if I'm picturing it in my head correctly, I don't really see any other solution.

If you aren't content with that, google "Project Dooky's Revenge." It's a build over on pirate you may have seen before... I know he did a triangulated 4-link in the front and had major clearance issues, but eventually found a way to make it work. IIRC, he also has an LQ9 (?) 6.0 v8 in it, so I'm not sure how much it'll help you. I know his main clearance issues were with his front driveshaft and oil pan, FWIW.
