EDIT:

The TJ has been stretched for about a year. It work wonderfully.
On 4/14/11 I picked up a set of Dana 60s. King Pin SnowFigher front from a 79 250. Rear is also out of a 79. Post 107 Starts the 60s build.

I am currently stretching the wheelbase of my TJ.

My TJ has progressed a lot over the years since I purchased it.
From Stock Daily Driver to modified daily driver to more modified daily driver to even more modified Trail Rig. I want to keep the jeep streetable, but have one that performs on the trail as well.

The day I bought it. Strait panels and no scratches.

First dirt.

First Stuck

4" Skyjacker and 33 Baja Claws

36s stock gears and axles

4.88s, Chromo front shafts, lockers

I have more older photos that I will post at a later date.
Custom belly up skid
RCI 15 Gallon Fuel cell with KORE ring
MORE front bumper to be straitened out and sold
Rear modified bumper from ebay that I bought a number of years ago
Currently the jeep has 35s for the street and 36s for the trail
Dana 30 front, Yukon Chromo shafts, Lockright, 4.88s
dana 44 rear, Alloy USA shafts, Detroit, 4.88s
4.5 RE springs
Shocks TBD
Clayton Long arm front
Custom rear Stretch in progress ~hopefully 5-7" with out a comp cut. (ballistic joints)
PSC steering box sitting on the garage floor

Future Plans (no particular order)...
Dana 60s
40s or 42s
re do the cage
new front bumper
sink the fuel tank into the floor with a custom box overhead for protection
different suspension mounts
3 link front
etc...

Recent favorite trail photos. Harlan March 2009. I bought a House in late 2008 so my Jeep trips have been drastically reduced.

Harlan Lions Den

Can opener trail

Current build:

Had to devote some time to the trailer since brakes weren't working too well

Trailer got brakes on second axle and shoes and magnet on rear axle. Also built a spare tire carrier with one of my spare hubs

Working on motor mounts

Will likely add triangulated supports for added support. I don't think it will need it but I don't think it would hurt either. 1.75" DOM and brown dog poly mounts

I know it's not jeep related but oh well.

One of the power rows at work. All are 2500 and 3500s with the exception of a Dakota with a 4bt I believe. These spots fill up before 7 as I am told.

Driver motor mount is completed. Much better now. Passenger side is almost completed.

I prefer to turn off the grinders at 9pm so didn't quite finish the passenger side

Hahaha. That's so awesome!

I'm a huge CUMMINS guy myself. Into cummins just as much as jeeps haha. That's def a cool sight in that parking lot

Good to see things coming along, dunno about Cummins, setting cam timing with feeler gauges between the timing gear teeth is some funky stuff. Oh well it runs pretty again, still sore from pulling head bolts tight

Plans for the future. Once the TJ is 'finished' going to work on a 2a then I'm thinking 5 or 6 years out a 4bt daily driver TJ may be in the works.

The pic was from one of the buildings at work.

Once it's finished! You are a funny guy, by the time you are temporarily done with it and you did some wheelin, you get bored and get this funny itch. Then you start looking at the Jeep again, to see what you think needs or can be changed.

Well I figure this stage of finished haha.

I already have a list of the next projects for this TJ. I know things will need to be changed eventually.
Double triangulate the rear suspension
Re do tc skid
Add to cage

Had to do rear wheel cyls on the dodge this weekend. Brake lines broke in process.

Question what is the extra gear? I know it's got a limited slip. Is that part of it? Never seen one like that

Edit : abs ring

Thanks.

After the photo I moved the dress away from the tires. It's important bc she wants to retake the photos since our photographer didn't double back the photos up and her computer crashed so we don't have the traditional family photos her getting ready and the first look. To top it all off the photos we do have of the reception and ceremony are awful... Currently negotiating a refund and such.

That really blows man, sorry to hear.

Went to the dark side. Since the tj isn't going to be running for a while found another toy...

90 fuel injected 4 cyl
35s weld on bead locks
Broken tc came with factory replacement and... I have the 231 with SYE from the tj still sitting in garage.
$1200

Needs driver floors and some rot at steering box but nothing some 3/16 plate can't fix for frame.
