I will be attending the second annual Bantam Jeep Festival. I was hoping get a roll call of everyone attending so we can meet up and enjoy the festival together. Feel free to post what your driving and your plans for the event. I attended last year and had a blast and look forward to this year. Looking forward to meeting fellow jeepers and having fun.

What's the parking situation like there??
I not real keen parking my topless Jeep loaded with gear a mile away in a field somewhere.

I'm thinking on going up early to see if there's still any spots to register for the show. The $20 fee would be worth it to be able to park in the show area.

You won't be the only topless Jeep parking there. There will be over 1,000 parked there. Event planners said they had over 1,100 Jeeps registered this year. Parking on Saturday and Sunday at the fairgrounds is on fairgrounds property, so parking is pretty close. Everyone I went will last year, had our tops off and had items we bought there and had no incident. I read that there were no incidents last year of any kind, even clean up. It was a very relaxed event. All Jeepers were happy and helpful the whole weekend.

Where is everyone staying if they are going for more than one night?

My group will be at the Breakneck Woods Campground in Portersville. About 10-15 minutes from Butler fairgrounds. No reservations needed there-just show up and find an open site. Pretty much tent camping, but they do have a couple cabins. Campground has shower facilities. We're heading up either Thursday evening or Friday morning, depending on all of our work schedules.

I think from the event rules are, the registration is for that specific Jeep. If events are not sold out, you may be able to register for the Jeep you plan on bringing. Send them a note on Facebook or contact them through the site and see if you can switch registrations possibly.

Bear Run told me only 1 tent per site and each site is $28/night. Last year we stayed at Breakneck. Not the best facilities as far as shower and such but the owners are cool and it is cheap. We plan to stay there again this year. Heading there on Thurs for a long weekend.

Yeah, we were up towards the top. Hoping to get the same spot this year that we had last year. Our group stayed up later than most, but we definitely weren't the rowdy ones towards the top of the hill dumping who knows what on top of the fire to get flames 15 feet high. Beer along with jack/cokes will def be in my hand. See ya up there.

cant wait till this weekend, the kids are excited too! They are 2, 3, and 5 and love Jeeps, in fact when were out and I ask their opinion on any other car or truck they say "junk". Are there a lot of parts for sale and or vendors? As far as purchasing things, is a credit card or check going to work, or is cash whats mainly accepted? thanks, will be there in my 99 TJ (intense pearl color)!

There was a decent amount of parts there last year. Definitely a lot of winches from multiple vendors. They are having a swap meet also, so who know how big that may be or how much people will have.

According to an email that BJHF sent out:
"Make sure you bring cash for admission and merchandise, as credit cards are not accepted. The nearest ATM will be located across the road from the Fairgrounds. Once you get in the gate, an ATM will be available so you can pick up great things from our vendors and the Merchandise store. "

See ya there!
