Dose anyone know of some good trails up on the Mogollon Rim?

My friends and I like to take week long jeep excursions every year, this year we did Moab. Next year we are thinking of taking the Rim, starting around Blue Ridge Reservoir head South East along the Rim and ending whenever 5 days are up. we like adventure in our trail and want to camp by water (Lakes, Streams ect.:cheers2:) So if anyone have some idea's or links let me know. usually on these big trips we only have about 3 jeeps going so anyone is welcome. If anyone has any pics that would be great.:2thumbsup:

Yea... that's what I been noticing:thumbdown:, I have been up their before, just to go fishing and all I seen was FR's to.

We where also thinking of heading out to the San Juan Mountains CO. A lot of cool trails out there. I'll see if any one has been out there on the Forum.

as posted elswhere:

just got back from doing the mogollon rim road from forest lakes to strawberry. highly reccomedn knoll lake ifn ya want trout and crawfish for dinner, we kayaked up to the beaches at the southern end and it was as close to a perfect mountian lake spot as i have seen, quaking aspens on the shores, pine studded knoll island, bald eagles nesting above, elk in the field before the yabos generators come on......awesome

There are actually 2 that come to mind, give me a few days to see if i can find some info and pictures, as I have never been down either of these, but I have heard they get pretty hairy. and i have always wanted to take the jeep down these roads. I have been down one on highway 89? i think its 89 between here and payson... anyways... you literally drive like not even a mile maybe off the road, and drop into Jacks Canyon... then you get to the bottom... I turned around as It was basically more of a 4 wheeler trail, but you could see where people have went through in vehicles before... I would just prefer not too. I will try to find some pictures of this one as well, even though it is a bit out of the way, and i have no idea how long the road is after that point.
And yes fishing is good
