But tonite as I rode home with the top off I really loved my rust-bucket YJ! At damn near 300k she still runs strong and I won't give it up for the world. She just isn't so pretty right now so some cosmetic work is coming, but after a long time w/o it and just military vechiles it was twice as sweet.

Just figured y'all would get it more so than the rest of the site. ;)

There are a number of threads that are not tech related but are YJ specific so let's try this area for those.

You know you drive a YJ when ...

What makes your YJ unique?

The problem I'm trying to solve is the top being nothing but stickies; it was up to 12 at one time and on a mid size monitor that's the entire screen.

There might be more clicks if a thread does not have action for a while but if someone posts in one of them, "what did I do to my YJ today" for example it jumps back to the top. On the other hand if a thread falls off the bottom of the page it's not hard to open the link to find it again.

Also, I'm hoping this thread will be a home to some of the stuff that might get shipped off to GD or WGD.

We'll see how it goes for a while and adjust as needed.

thx

Not sure on it yet ... So far it just seems to make me have to click more times to get to the same spot I used to get to on the main page.

I like how my thread is considered under the nonsense category.

This is basically Yj non tech. I think there should be an entire section like the XJ guys have without being wrangler general discussion.
Maybe we could have a section called, "HEY, CANMAN HOW CAN I SPEND MY MONEY"

Good point, I'll change it. I was not thinking about the actual threads within.

I like this new sticky setup
It's pretty cool but it lacks user-friendliness for the frequent app users. When I go to click on "What did you do to your YJ" it takes me to an in app Internet page instead of re routing to the in app page. Kinda defeats the purpose of using the app to begin with. Its like this with all links, which makes sense when going to peruse parts or something that a person recommends but it's irking with threads that are already on JeepForum.

It's not as user friendly as it was. Before, I would see the post, click on "last page" and go straight there. Now, I click on this post, click the link, get taken to page one, and have to click on last page to get where I could previously get to with one click...

additionally, since these 2 threads tend to be the most frequently updated, they'll just end up being the first 2 posts at the top of the non-stickied threads anyway, essentially causing the issue that you are trying to avoid. (having then appear at the top all the time on smaller screens)

Thanks. The sheer volume of non tech posts is what drove me away for the last year. I spent more time telling people their post was not YJ tech specific than actually answering questions. I am cautiously optimistic that YJ tech might actually be YJ tech now.

I recently changed did the internal to external slave conversion. It seems that no one really sells the line for the internal slaves. Does anyone think it would be worth selling before I toss it out?
wrong spot for this (I think) ... I would ask around maybe someone could use it
