I've just recently purchased a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Love it, but it has some issues that need fixing, as seen in this thread:
http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f13/rebuild-rear-differential-minneapolis-mn-1382540/

I have one person willing to help, but I'd like to build a little database (and maybe a sticky for this forum) on good places to fix your Jeeps.
Well, for those of us that aren't mechanically inclined, anyway.

Good mechanics that won't rip you off can be hard to find. List any, or if you're willing to do some work for someone, please list your rate, and qualifications.
(I didn't find a thread like this, but if I missed it, let me know.)

Joe's Brake Shop
50th and Bryant Ave South
Minneapolis
Doesn't specialize in Jeeps but I've worked with him and a friend has recommended him highly as someone that is honest.

Well,
I know a guy...Josh Larson in Sumter(I think that's how it's spelled). Look up Larson Automotive...it's about 45 miles west of Eden Prairie on Hwy 212. I know it's not real close but he does great work and normally comes in at close to half of what most shops charge. I had him replace a motor in my daughters Cobalt when she blew it up...low mileage replacement and labor came to like $1200.
