Introducing MONSTALINER™ UV Permanent DIY Roll On Bed Liner

Hi All,

We are a new advertiser on jeepforum.com and I just want to introduce myself, our company and a very interesting new product.

My name is Eric and I have 25+ years experience in coatings manufacturing.
Our company Magnet Paints, is focused on industrial maintenance and commercial fleet refinish coatings,
epoxy and urethane concrete floor coatings and automotive restoration paints.

We are also the manufacturers of Chassis Saver™ Rust Preventive Truck & Auto Underbody Coating.
Chassis Saver is a high performance alternate to POR-15 at 45% lower cost.

For the past 5 years, our lab has been developing and fine tuning a roll on bed liner product.
The product has evolved through 3 generations of testing, development and field trials and has just been
commercialized and is available for sale.

I have personally been involved with installations on more than 20 vehicles in the last 4 years in which
my feedback and experience alone was the determining factor that the product was complete and ready for release.

Monstaliner started as a pet project. One of our employees had used a widely popular DIY bed liner on his
personal truck and was not so pleased with the outcome. He came into work one day with a mission and
for almost a year, he kept badgering the chemists in our lab to develop a better product.

One day after getting tired of listening to this guy rant, we sat down and mapped out what a
new generation do-it-yourself bed liner would have to offer to be successful. A first, we just toyed with the
project but we knew that a much better product was possible compared to those already on the market.

So here we are, very proud to present:

MONSTALINER™ High Performance DIY Roll On Bed Liner

I don't want to write a book here so I will post the web site link for all who are curious to check this out on their own time.

As an introduction special and for the rest of this month at least,
we are offering free shipping on anything sold on the web site.

Just use Promo Code "FSBL-1" when ordering either online or by phone.

Everyone, anyone... please feel free to ask any questions. I am always available to help.

Best Regards
magnetman

work with you to make something happen.

Eric, quick question. I'm going to order the pyro soon for the interior and flares. I was going to
Roll but thinking maybe spraying would be easier? Any opinions? I also plan to do a color change of predator on the exterior over red, should I prime first for color coverage?

Thanks. Skippy

So if im using the chassis saver before monstaliner and i get rid of the rust flakes and debris and then scuff the surrounding paint, what should i clean the surrounding paint and the paint in between the rust? i think the directions of chassis saver said not to use thinner to clean beforehand and that is what i have to clean with before i monstaline. any thoughts???? btw im in the process of doing this now, so any feedback would be much appreciated.

gosh darn that MEK stuff is potent. I put on my plastic gloves to wring out my rag before wiping down the surface and my fingers started to burn. I looked down and my fingers were bare... the plastic on my gloves had disintegrated and was dangling from my palm and the burning was from the cuts on my hands from work. I threw the gloves away and used newspaper to hold and maneuver the rag to finish cleaning the floorpan i was working on. Then washed my hands for about 5 or 10 mins after that. lol.
I had some pretty flimsy plastic gloves, what gloves are recommended when handling MEK? I don't want to get burnt up from using this stuff. If there is an easier, less risky method of cleaning the sanded surfaces, please let me know.

I used some chemically rated gloves I picked up at the hardware store, they weren't real expensive.

^^^ Yup. there are 2 types of gloves that are available. One is the cheap-o type. The other will last a bot longer, but after a bit they'll start to break down. MEK smells bad to me, but nothing compared to Acetone..HATE HATE HATE!! that smell. We used to haze the new guys at work by telling them to got get a styrofoam cup 1/2 full with Acetone. Then again we used to tie lunch boxes to I-beams with a boom lift, epoxy coffee mugs to the tables, remove toosl from box and fill with 50# bags of lead shot.

My advice, working with MEK and acetone for extended periods: Wear a respirator and chemically-rated gloves. That stuff dissolves plastic, and the vapor particulate ain't good for your lungs. Keep MEK off your skin, for sure.

If I am just going to use it for the tub of my jeep do i need to use a respirator? I mean, how long am i supposed to wipe the surface, a couple swipes has seemed to do a good enough job. Which would make the whole tub probly a ten minute wipe down job. Then let it evaporate in order to put down liner.

^^ Make sure you are in an open area with good ventilation, limit skin contact and wipe down. MOST of the dirt/grime should have been cleaned with the TSP beforehand. The MEK is to remove oils and dirt that have accumulated since then. A quick once over is sufficient.

Well,

I've started prepping for the monstaliner. I officially hate Torx head bolts! I have 1 bolt under the driver seat that snapped off while trying to remove it.

I'll have to drill that out. sigh

Ok lets remove the roll bars and yay 1 torx head strips out. Haven't even started the passenger side bolts yet.

Ran to harbor freight and grabbed some cutoff wheels for my grinder, looks like tomorrow is going to be a fun day.

By chance does anyone know how the footman loops in the rear seat area on a 2000 wrangler are attached? are they torx or allen head..mine are covered in some pretty poor bedliner the PO used so I'm having issues trying to clean them out to determine the fastener type. ( only tried one as the broken bolts took up more time than I had tonight)

Oh and Magnetman rocks! Thanks for replying to my PM the other day! Awesome service IMO for anyone that hasn't figured that out by the plethora of his replies on this thread.:2thumbsup:

Eric,
I received what was supposed to be a full set of chips today. I had ordered it so I could compare the yellow/orange/red colors for myself...but it was missing six colors :(

Zombie Sunset
Smurfadelic
Blood Bath
Brown Eyed Girl
Road Rash
Freedom Fried

Any idea why these colors were missing, or if they were left out intentionally, when they will ship, so I can have a complete set?

Sorry about this

Can you give me your invoice # and we will mail what was missing

Just installed mine in the tub this past weekend. I could not be happier with how it turned out! It was a lot of work prepping everything, easily turned into a 3+ day job when it was all said and done. Hopefully the smell goes away soon lol.

Before I even think of applying ML, I have a lot of fixing to do. I want to remove the snaps that are around the tub (they are all over the place), and I need to fill those holes as well as patch the spot where there was a CB radio antenna, and the extra holes around the windshield and tub that accumulated from all the the PO's.

Any suggestions of what to use to patch these holes that would also accept ML application?

ml went over the blue fiberglass bondo on my tub very well. i had to fill the holes from the stock swing out tailgate and 2 small holes elsewhere on the body before linering mine.
