that's what I been hearing, probably gonna leave two barrel on it for now. Maybe swap over this winter, I have the edelbrock intake already and an adapter for the q-jet.

If your good with Q-Jets maybe I could just pay you to rebuild it for me? ;)
Well i get lucky some times. My holley is a hp 950 it works really well but i couldnt do anything with the 650. Yeah if momma aint happy nobody is

I love mine with an auto. I had a T176 4 speed, but then I had a 700r4 that I grenaded and now a TH350...The Th350 has a reverse manual valve body, is built to the hilt, and has a 4000 stall converter in it...much better for mud racing this way rather than having a 4 speed. I'm going to make an attempt at getting mine road worthy again, but leaving the engine set up as it is...we'll see how that works out. But I'm leaving the auto in it so when I'm feeling froggy with mud races again.

Are you wanting to swap to an auto? I read this in the post pics of your cj7 thread. Why auto?
Well i plan to hit the fairs and mud races it would be much faster with an auto. Plus the motor is so big and the cam i thought with a small stall it might soften it some. It is so touchy if you wiggle your foot it jumps like a frog.

Oh okay. Thanks. I run local mud bogs like the fair as well. Granted I don't have near your guys power but I use 3rd in low range and it works very well for me.

I'll have to check scooters mud pics next.

I run in the high side makes killer wheel speed which is what you need in the mud run. The old bulldog doesnt shift well in the mudd like an auto would. I can take off in 2nd gear in high side might be able to in 3rd but havent had the nerve to try it. I have already exploded one pressure plate i dont want to do that again..lol
