I figured since the other thread started out as talking about making a club, and what clubs are available, we should have a thread that's just dedicated to setting up trail runs.

The title says it all, and it'll be less cluttered.

So, the 9/18/10 Run to Potato Ridge was a success!

Next item on the schedule is Logandale on 10/23/10 according to McRoberts. Seems like we have a few interested parties! Who all is planning to attend?

If there is anything in the meantime, or someone local wants another rig to ride with them, just post up and see if anyone is available!

They used to have smog checks back in Florida. There weren't independant stands that performed the test. They were all city employees. When they started the program, it was agreed that, after ten years, if the program did not improve air quality the program would be disbanded.

After ten years, the study showed zero improvement in air quality and they shut down the program. Them following through with the program closure really surprised me. The city lost a huge chunk of budget when it closed.

I've got to get the vin programmed to match my jeep once I get the ECU and then hopefully it'll just pass like normal. If not, I'm not sure what I'll do. It's dumb cause in reality, a transmission swap should not allow your vehicle to fail smog but I know with the CEL on it's not going to pass! LOL Yes, I know my torque converter lock up solenoids don't work since they don't exist anymore! But what does that have to do with smog??? LOL

Do you guys know of a trail that you think would be safe during rain?
I had set aside this saturday to go hit up a trail or two, but it definitely looks like it's going to rain now. I don't want to get caught out in a flash flood or something, so is there anywhere I can go that's going to be safe?
There are a few that are fairly easy up in the spring mountains. The higher you go in elevation, it should turn into snow.

Though I do agree with everyone about not going out by yourself esp during possible bad weather, I do it all the time. But if I have a choice, I always go with someone or have enough gear to survive and/or get out of most situations.

I would probably run the trail to Giffith summit. Though there are a few spots that could be slick, but they should be fine. I would run this trail in bad weather... then again I did run Wheelers during some bad weather too. It is just off of Kyle Canyon if you follow Harris Spring road.

I was thinking about doing a run up to Zion next Saturday if anyone wants to go. We generally stop @ Texas Roadhouse for lunch, then head up to Zion for a few hours. April 1st they start running the buses again for the summer, so this will be the last time that you can drive up there until fall time.

I will not be sporting the Jeep on this trip. something about 45mpg compared to 16mpg...

So I have been bought a few things from autoanything.com. They offer free shipping on a bunch of stuff and they are in so cal, so you get fast shipping without paying taxes.

I am still on the fence if I like this or not, but it is great from the business side. I believe when I created my account, they recorded my IP address and they monitor all of the traffic to their site. Ever since I ordered the first thing, I get emails from them all the time. For example I looked at the prices of a few winches recently... then I get an email shortly afterwards asking if I am still interested or have any questions about the winch I was just looking at. I seriously hope porn sites don't start doing this... Greg do you want to watch the apple and orange clip again. haha
