As the title states, Uwharrie Offroad trip May 4-6.
- Uwharrie Pass $5 a day, $30 annual
- Any rig stock or modified is welcome to join us. We will be doing all the trails most likely.
- Your rig must have at least 1 recovery point.
- We will be camping right off the trails, and the only bathrooms around are at the eldorado outpost and a few outhouses at the entrance.
- There will be no set groups. We might all go together on some trails and split at others. It all depends on what everyone is comfortable with.
- HaViiK and his dad will be securing a camp site. They will meet you guys there at 6pm and lead you to where they set up. PM for his cellphone for details or any other info.
If you guys would like a different time, let me know so I can change it. I'm sure we will go to the Outpost more than that for supplies.
Campsite: Not sure which one we will end up with considering it's first come first serve basis. Anyone showing up early to scope out for one? Our choices of big camps are at the top of Daniel and at the base of Rocky Mountain. You can camp where ever you wish.
CB: Channel 4
If there is something you can bring to share at the campsite let us know!
Andy and I are bringing the pop up cover, a few pans. Gonna make breakfast and burgers Saturday night.
If I missed you let me know.
List of who's attending UPDATED 5/3:
So I see start time on Sat. is 10AM...till when?
I'm debating on just making it a long day trip vs. overnight. I'm about 4 hours away though...got rid of most of my camping gear years ago so I really dont want to go buy a lot of stuff right now.

Looking like I most likely wont be coming now :/ with Wheelin 4 Hope the week before, then my sisters graduation, and the beach the following week. I can't afford to ask off that much, or I wouldn't have any money at all.
If y'all end up doing another trip later in the summer. I will for sure be there then. Ill have all summer to plan for it.
Hello all. I am very interested in this. I am a new Jeeper. Novice for sure but excited to be in the jeep family. I have an 04 Tj that is stock (for now).
Hellga, you live RIGHT THERE!! Must be SOOO nice!
My rig survived daily beach runs in KDH/Nags Head this week, and only needs to survive Oak Ridge in 2 weeks, and all the :rantscream: highway miles I drive to get to any good trails.
Count me in, Sarah, if the creek dont rise:cheers2:
I want to go but the wife is a month and a half pregnant and I'm not sure she's going to want me to leave her for a weekend, or if she'd want to tag along. I need to be tactful about this with all these hormones being thrown around the house. So put me down for a maybe. :cheers2:
Bah! She's still has 7 1/2 months to make ya miserable...whats missing out one a couple days! lol
So I Google'd Eldorado Outpost again to make sure I was getting my departure time dialed in to be there a lil'bit before 10 AM Sat...
THE EARTH HAS SHIFTED!!! it now tells me i'm less than 3 hours away! lol I swear when I first looked at how long it would take me to get there it was like 3 3/4 hours!
Sounds like a great weekend to meet a lot of JF folks. I'm in. Oh, a good camp spot is halfway up Daniel, right where the sharp turn is. Not sure its big enough for everybody coming though.
PredatorNC, I have an extra tent if you want to borrow it for the weekend - you just have to provide blankets, sleeping bag, etc. Heck, I'll even throw in an extra camp chair.
As for kids, I will have my 5 year old son with me.

Cool, much thanks...Think I have most everything lined up...I'll probably be riding solo since the wife doesn't want to do a over nighter that early in the season and my brother is closing in on his wedding date so he'll be busy.
Just a suggestion (depending on how many folks show up) Below is a terrain map showing a few good camping spots. With those spots being on Daniel, they aren't taken so quickly.
For those that don't want to tackle Daniel from the Cotton Place side, they can easily come up from the other side, where it ties into Rocky Mount.
If I happen to be off Saturday or Sunday, I'll certainly tag along for a day. Put me down as a maybe, I'd really enjoy to wheel these 33s and locked front finally.
One of the guys I work with is going to go...he has a JK with very mild mods...but he does have a winch! lol
