XJ Daily Driver lift/tire combinations

Looking for some suggestions on combinations of a lift size, manufacturer of lift, and tire size for a 99 XJ thats a daily driver. I've heard OME is a good choice, and the price I could live with if its going to last and ride decently.

Looking for minimal amounts of required modifications other than the obvious (I'm thinking between 2"-3"?)

Call me a mall crawler if you wish, i'm just tired of looking at my stock xj.

Pictures that support your suggestions are always a plus :)

Thanks!

in my opinion i go rough country it is inexpensive and the customer service is great from what i heard and read. they had bad parts in the past but mostly got those parts re designed. I am planning on ordering from rough country and iro when i go up to 4.5" of lift. I am currently lifted 2-3" of lift the front is measured out at 2.5" and the leafsprings in the rear measured out 3". I run 31x10.50 r15 tire size it is perfect combination for weekend wheeling and daily driving it isnt that bad in gas mileage either. check out my build thread for pics. i hope i was able to help you out man.

here is some pictures of my set up

If mall crawling is your wish, my first setup i ran on my 01 may suit you well:

Fat Bobs 3" poly coil spacer, add-a-leaf, and stock shocks. Dirt cheap, and minimal parts to purchase. Rode like stock, and made for a nice look. When I started to wheel it wasnt enough for my wheel/tire combo, and my leafs began to fatigue. But for about 100 bucks plus cost of wheels and tires, excellent setup for mall creeping. 15x8 D-Windows with 4.5" backspacing, 31" Trxus MT's.

Funny looking back on this now, cause this was a tough looking setup to me when I first did it, but that 01 is tiny compared to my current build. One day I will probably look back on my 99 in its current state and say the same haha.

fabobsgarage.com is where i got my lift 2" front spacers w/ 2 "rear shackles. hd rear leaf springs, mastercraft curousrs a/t 2 30/9.5/15. its my DD and i love it still going to do some trimming and a few other mod but nothing crazy. it goes through the trails good. the lift was $79 tires i got for $120 each, and the rear springs were little over $100 each

I went with a mix and match bb for 2". Coil spacers and RC 1.5-2" shackle. My stock rear leaves are terribly saggy though so Im going to pick up some new stock leaves. I have a set of 3" front springs at home and whenever I can I will go to 3" with the front coils and stock rear leaves/1.5-2" shackle and HD Offroad shackle relocation brackets.

This is what it currently looks like

2" N 30's for the win

2.5" Old Man Emu Suspension and 30x9.5x15 BFG T/A KO All Terrains.

The ride is phenomenal. Your expectations will be far exceeded if you go with OME.
And fairly capable off-road, I've been places open/open where I shouldn't have been. Get a decent set of tires, some skids and go, skinny pedal is your friend :shhh:. With some trimming and bumpstopping you can fit 33's easy. Also at 2" you can get away with many of your stock parts and on most XJ's you don't need an Slip Yoke Eliminator.

I've got a rc 4.5" with Goodyear mtr 33x12.5 as my dd, it rides a little rough and is fairly capable offroad with the right line and open diffs, although I am looking for the brown Santa with my front locker, hehe
