I figured since the other thread started out as talking about making a club, and what clubs are available, we should have a thread that's just dedicated to setting up trail runs.

The title says it all, and it'll be less cluttered.

So, the 9/18/10 Run to Potato Ridge was a success!

Next item on the schedule is Logandale on 10/23/10 according to McRoberts. Seems like we have a few interested parties! Who all is planning to attend?

If there is anything in the meantime, or someone local wants another rig to ride with them, just post up and see if anyone is available!

I heard it discoed right when I got to the end of the trail and figured that they were clanking against the body but after I connected them it's still there. I'll go over it again with the ratchet. Everything seems really tight though. I hope it's not my steering box or shaft. Oh, it's like a double pop with a splash of creaking thrown in.

I had a pop after I first installed my Zone disco's. I tried to ignore it for a couple weeks because it sounded expensive and I really didn't want to know. My pop was the disco's. I really should have connected the symptom to the disco's. Mine were tight, but the upper bracket was slightly turned. Lined it up better and it's all happy again.

Hope yours is that simple a fix. That trail did suck, didn't it? My back is still hurting. Sent you an email too.

Night trail ride this Saturday. Plan to meet up around 5PM. Make sure you post up that you are going so we'll know when we can leave as a group.

It's an easy trail. Polka and I just ran it yesterday. No surprises. Nothing technical. No hazards. Stock friendly. I didn't use 4WD at all.

Cottonwood Trail Saturday the 25th.

Meet here: 36° 0'54.91"N 115°10'57.89"W
Start here: 35°51'27.18"N 115°26'40.59"W
Break Here: 35°57'14.52"N 115°26'16.64"W
End here: 35°59'50.59"N 115°26'48.39"W

I'll repost this tomorrow and again Saturday.

I am not going... I'll be at a truck stop in Cali by then.

Interesting link on craigslist. Wish they'd provided at least some sort of info... I don't see mic's on the headsets so I'm guessing they're like just nascar type race radio receivers or something.

By the way, are there any radio communications type places here in town? I got everything for my intercom ordered except the cables between the box and the headsets cause they wanted $50 each! Sorry, I'm going to do some research before I drop $100 for two simple cords! They're probably a pretty standard type cord.

I'm 99% sure that's what I need. My concern is I might also need a set of these cables depending on how the helmet I buy this weekend is wired. I swear every race helmet I've worn has that large audio style jack to plug into but it's been years since I've worn one and I just don't totally remember. They want $24 per cable for this one... $365 for the headsets and box is a smoking deal but then I potentially have another $150 in cables!!! OUCH!!! I'll do some serious shopping before I jump on that grenade!

Try radio shack. I haven't been inside one for 10 years but I think they carry that stuff.

That's exactly what I was going to do! I've got a set of the cables at home from the system we have for the race truck so I figured I'd walk in with them so I can hopefully match them up. If not, swap meet this weekend will likely have them also! I totally agree with the crazy markup on cables! HDMI is almost just as bad like mentioned above!
