This thread is to serve as an inspiration to others modifying their ZJ's. Pretty simple, just post what you did to your ZJ today!

Today I shamefully took my Jeep to get the oil changed because it was to hot to change it myself.

I finally got around to swapping my lower rear arms out. I had the regular fixed arms from IRO and they were a tad too long. My pinion angle was off and I had some nasty vibes. I ordered custom length fixed arms from them to fix it. It took me about 3 hours and a pair of underwear after we shot the jack out from under the diff. Luckily I still had the wheels on as well as had jack stands under it. It was hard as hell to rotate the axle to get the pinion to where it needed to be. All is well with it now and the vibes are gone.

Replaced rear shocks. Did it the JeepForum way, with the wheels on the ground ;)

When I got the old ones out I realised just how shot they were; there was resistance as I pushed and pulled them, but they just stayed in whatever position I moved them to. Covered in surface corrosion too, and the bushings dried-up and cracked.

Aiming to replace the front ones tomorrow. I don't want to drive it until I've replaced all four shocks, so I can get a proper sense of how much the ride has improved. I've had the ZJ nearly two years now on the trashed shocks, so I've never known it any different. I'm hoping it'll be a "Holy crap!" moment :D

The front driver side shock is a PITA. The top nut is under all the brake lines coming from the master cylinder. When I did mine the second time, I used a ratcheting wrench. I found this easier than an open ended wrench. There's no way you're going to get a socket in there. IIRC, it's either a 14 mm or a 15 mm nut. It's only been about a month, but I can't remember exactly.

I've read that people have had success with wobble extensions or universal joints. Guess I'll find out tomorrow :)
It can be done! But depending on your clearances its pretty much a horse a piece

Drove it on top of a volcano and pulled parts off of a late model Ram with the 5.2 that someone tossed over the edge. Spark plugs still looked pretty new. Got the Alternator, TB and a K&N filter. The rest was to heavy to get up the cliff. Also found what I think is a dinosaur turd.

Polka, is that death valley?
No but DV is very close by. That is close to Jean and Goodsprings. Devils Peak. Funny part about that truck is that they removed the tires before tossing it over the side. I am still wondering how they did that as just walking up to the edge there is very soft ground and pushing it with another vehicle would have been extremely dangerous. The inside was stripped except for the seats. I really wanted to get the keg off of it but it was just to cumbersome to drag back up.

Did you just carefully tape and spray it?
yes. and let me tell you... it took soo long to tape it. i had to use a razor and masking tape it took about an hour to tape then i just sprayed it and prayed the paint didnt go anywhere it wasnt supposed too. it worked great. not perfect. but it looks tight. next time im just gonna sand the top coat off the badge and use a paint marker instead it would be so much easier

Plasti-dip spray. It's amazing.

On topic: only drove it to work. Need to do oil and tranny fluid change sooo bad though.
