I got pulled over for "unlawful acceleration" once. I went fast from a stop to 35 mph. lol. He gave me a warning but apparently it's not a cheap ticket.
In ND they have excessive acceleration, and exhibition driving if you spin your tires. Excessive acceleration is never given out, simply because what is considered excessive? Never prove it in court, because how can an officer watching you take off say oh you looked like you followed the law a little to fast there. Lol.

when you have dreams of keeping your ZJ forever as a project rig, and having your girlfriend say "You aren't keeping that damn Jeep! It's going to be a money pit!" And then telling her it already is. Dooming yourself to more yelling.

I told my wife that when I get a "real" job, I'm buying myself a new vehicle. She said, "Good. Then you'll get rid of your Jeep." I laughed. When she asked what was so funny, I told her it's staying. She said, "Then you're not getting a new vehicle." That's fine. I'd rather drive my ZJ anyway.

What!? All it took to fix the oil leaks on my 4.0 was to replace the oil pan gasket (silicone), timing cover gasket and front crank seal, valve cover gasket (silicone), transmission cooler hoses (just the rubber), rebuild the power steering pump, replace the steering gear, both power steering hoses, new trans pan gasket, new trans pump seal, new trans rear seal, new engine rear main seal, new AC compressor, new radiator, reseal the differential, and new wheel cylinders. Not too bad for the last four or five years.

You left out the gasket on the oil filter adaptor. Have changed that as well.

When your friends and family compete with your Jeep for attention and constantly refer to you as "completely obsessed".

when you call your family from college:

Dad: "how is the Jeep running?"
Me: "Good, I had to change the oil pressure switch and I also got a new HU!"
Dad: "cool! That radio always sucked"

Mom: "how is the Jeep"
Me: "Good, I had to change the oil pressure switch and I also got a new HU!"
Mom: "oh my gosh MORE stuff for the jeep? Why don't you pay more attention to school??"
