I have an 83 cCherokee Chief with the AMC 360, D44 front, 4hi/4lo only. I got it as a mud toy and it's never ran since I got It, I went to start in on it and the guy said should run with new fuel, I've turned it ivermectin by hand to make sure it wasn't locked up, good oil, full of coolant, clean trans fluid. I went to start it and nuthin, not even a click out of the starter, I took the starter off and hocked it to a battery and got nuthin. So that starter is bad, but I also didn't hear my solenoid click which I thought was weird since the interior lights are all working.

Any thoughts please let me know.
if you know for sure what rear end it has and the gear ratio. I was told GM12
And what trans and t-case it has in it.

Thanks.

So I got the starter to work, I jumped the solenoid and it weakly turned over. But the battery I was using was at 80% and was a semi battery, but only had 750 cca. I'm guna replace the solenoid and try it again with my truck battery, 940cca should do it lol. Any other ideas why it would be a weak crank over? I had a semi battery with a battery charger on start hocked up tp it.
